What does it mean when girls turn their head to look at me?

Been a college student for about a year and a half and i like to dress in stylish fitting clothes i have a neat beard and smell always nice, and have nice haircut as well (Fade if you know it) iam also 6'2 and workout not buff or ripped but i do have bigger than average arms and working on getting a better body.

When i go to study in the library or when i pass by a group of girls at college most look at me but some go as far as turning their head to look at me and follow me with their eyes, and sometimes some girls hold eye contact with me for a long time... by the way these girls that do turn their heads are always really hot, i catch all kinds of girls looking but the ones that do turn their heads or hold eye contact are usually really attractive (Which i find kinda weird since hot girls normally dont give guys attention or looks ) .

female classmates, female friends, sisters friends and girls i know through mutual friends all say iam really good looking and very very attractive but i usually say thank you with a smile and move on thinking " well girls compliment guys sometimes for the fun of it plus they're close to me and are just trying to be nice" .
