Handsome, insecure guys?

What do think when you meet a guy that you think is the hottest guy you've ever seen, but find out he is really insecure? How does that affect your perception of him?

Initially a really hot guy could be intimidating. If he's fun to talk to, it would make me less nervous. If at some point later on, he confided that he was a bit nervous about ME, then I would think it was downright cute. I think a hot guy with certain level of humility is like a knight in shining armor. Still, his insecurity shouldn't paralyze him. So long as you can muster up courage and pull off that you're confident, and outgoing - being a little insecure is fine.

HOWEVER - Being overly, persistently insecure is an issue. It's almost impossible to be attracted to someone who desperately would do anything to just be with you. It would make me wonder if you're able to care for my emotional needs. Or whether you're even worth dealing with. When it starts really interfering in a relationship, like you get controlling, jealous, or easily offended - my attraction fades quickly.

i don't generally like insecure guys because they tend to be more protective and jealous and always second guessing themselves instead of making a solid decision.

it depends on he level of insecurity. if he was too insecure to ever be outgoing, talk about his thoughs/opinions, or even make a move on a girl, then that would make me less attracted to him. BUT I also hate guys who are so aware of the fact that they are hott, that they re cocky and errogant.

some insecirity is good because it humbles a person, and typically they are kinder to other people. but REALLY insecure is just as bad as too much confidence.

all of the top tier really good looking guys I've known were confident, if not cocky.

if I were to meet a guy like you've described in your question, I would feel bad for him and empathize with him. I'd think maybe he went through some bad stuff in his life to feel this way about himself and honestly I'd probably have a little soft spot for him because no one should feel that way about themselves

I never met a guy that I thought "is the hottest guy I've ever seen"...anyways, it's not a big deal to be insecure, it's normal. And it doesn't matter if they are guys or girls... I just think that insecure people should work on his self steem.

This doesn't make sense. If they were insecure, they would not think they were the hottest thing, but others would.
