you're comparing your current man to your ex because how your past relationship ended, by doing this if the relationship ends it won't impact you as much as your old one as you be thinking he's the same as your ex so it was bound to happen. although this is a mechanism to protect yourself it isn't good. what you need to do is come to terms with your past man and focus on your current on stop comparing the two and move on

I know you might not want to hear this but one of the reason for why you’re with your current boyfriend is because he looks like your ex and you’re not exactly over him.
