I grew up on a reservation where circumcision is typically considered unnatural, so the first time I had sex with a non-first nation person, it was a little surprising. I don't know, I mean I've heard a lot to the contrary. For instance, certain tribes in africa that perform circumcision wasn't contracting AIDS from females which lowered their numbers of infected compared to other tribes. Basically the AIDS were limited to gays and the women they (gays) slept with instead of just spreading all over the place.

Infections of sorts is something I hear about from a lot of dudes too. I agree that it's a human rights violation sort of thing... but, I do see how certain benefits would outweigh the costs.

But, if your premise of a non-cutt dick catching viruses/diseases/infections more easily is simply untrue... I would change my position of seeing it positively quite quickly.

I agree with everything you said especially about the myths. I think it's a horrible thing to do to a baby. I think it may have something to do with who really runs the world.

In developed countries where people shower regularly and wear condoms during sex though, circumcision has absolutely no benefit aside from "looking nicer". Circumcision is essentially the male equivalent to labiaplasty. Just imagine the outrage if newborn baby girls were forced to have a cosmetic surgery on their genitals, which is what circumcision is, before they're able to give consent or understand why. In modern times, it's a completely unnecessary surgery unless you were born with an extremely short frenulum which may make sex painful, but otherwise, there is no practical reason for circumcision.

It is just common in US. As a European who just moved here I have to say I have never seen a circumcised penis. It changed a little bit ago and we haven't had sex yet so I can't say if there's a difference. It was kind of interesting to see a circumcised penis for the first time.
