That looks like a 40 year age difference to me. I hope that's not her husband. That's probably her grandfather. A twenty year age difference is not that uncommon. Girls want someone with plenty of money and experience. They usually want someone who is older and wiser. A young guy is more likely to just want sex. Then he might leave as soon as the girl gets pregnant. A young guy is less likely to commit to a marriage. The times have changed. People used to get married when they were young, and they stayed married. It was that way before the 1970's. My sister eloped and married a young man when she was a teenager. He already had two children from a previous relationship. He was less than 24 years old.

I say I prefer older men (by no more than 5+ years) but in reality every crush I’ve ever had has always been on a guy the same age or a year younger than me. i think it’s the idea of an older guy being a better protective figure that appeals to a lot of girls. that and daddy issues lmao

I always preferred slightly older guys. I like white hairs mixed with dark hair with the sexy lines at the eye's outer corners when he smiles.  It's even better if he is young with such look lol.

My grandmum was talking about a friend of hers daughter who was dating, then living together with a dirty old man. (her description of the seasoned gent). The mother was complaining to my grandmum about the old fart robbing the cradle!! I was told later that my grandmum never skipped a beat, then with a straight face, replied; "like heck he's robbing the cradle, she's robbing the grave!!" All with her cute little proper (Americanized) Brittish accent!! (I laughed so hard I almost peed myself! The mental picture was great! Needless to say my grandmum isn't one to beat around the bush, she speaks her mind!)

To each their own. I like guys slightly older than me, as I find most my age to be very juvenile and fratty. Of course, I'm also at a college where they all are, in fact, part of fraternities and very much look it. My boyfriend is three years older than me, which isn't much of a difference, but to me it's perfect, and he's very different from what is usually found at school. That's just one thing I appreciate about him. I couldn't go much older than that though, and I never want to because to me my man is perfect and I love him.

There's a lot of things this could depend on.. The woman could be a golddigger or just have the hots for older men. I like older men, not by a lot though, because they're mature and I like the manly look. But every girl is different, same as each man is different with his preferences

I would only go out with guys older than me, but preferably between 3-10 years. I don't have daddy issue as such, comes from a good family and I am not after their money either as I could buy things I like.
But I just find older guys more mature, we have more to talk about, and I can learn a lot from them. Guys my age only talks about uni or their study which I don't really want to talk about.

Those pictures are an extreme case. 99% of women would not date that guy. A lot of 25ish women date men in their 30s mostly because that's a very attractive age in a man and a lot of men outgrew the party lifestyle at that point and know what they want.

It's true. Young girls do like older men and older women do like younger guys. I believe that age should be just a number and partners should prefer to meet and fall in love with any girl or guy that they truly like. Even prophet Mohammed loved and married a young girl. When life provides an opportunity to love do not neglect such opportunities to love even if it is an old and young equation.

They do but only up until a certain point. What you are seeing there in that photo is an obvious cultural acceptance, and how materialism is valued as success.
There are many beautiful girls for example, from Eastern Europe who would consider a much older man because they value the lifestyle of wealth most of all, he may provide, it’s safe to say that old man isn’t financially struggling.
