Girlfriend stopped saying I love you?

My girlfriend of 3 years stopped saying I love you recently. She does tell me in person she just doesn’t say it through text. I know she has some overwhelming things going on right now and I thought that was the problem. When I see her she will still tell me about everything going on in her life what has pissed her off since I last seen her and other things. I got her flowers medicine and ice cream the other day and surprised her cuz her teeth have been killing her and she was thankful. Am I reading to much into this or do I need to give her space and just act like I always have towards her. Any advice?

probably just act normally, give her some space if you think u r overdoing it. try to help her, but sometimes, wait for her to ask for the help. sometimes its just better for her to ask for help. and at least she still says 'I love you' in person then its pretty much fine. if she's not saying it in text, she probably wants you to say 'I love you' to her first (since that's the more 'manly, gentleman' sorta behaviour I guess)

I do say it to her in text and she hasn’t been saying it back. Use to be whenever I would say it in a text message before bed in the morning or throughout the day she would say it back and all of a sudden it stopped. But like I said she does say it in person. Should I back off saying it in a text and just tell her in person for a few days and see if anything changes?

yeah u should probably give that a go. if nothing changes try to maybe increase the texts saying, 'I love you'.

@WhoStoleMySock I will try all this thank you although when we messaged this morning she actually kept the conversation going and I said I love you and she said it back. She even signed of with xoxo like she use to always do. I will still give her some space as she has a lot on her plate with everything right now but I’m thinking I was being worried over nothing

Good idea, yeah overthinking kills relationships. I've been through it so it's difficult to manage but you'll get there!

I told my ex boyfriend, I love you and he said yeah me too. He never told me first, never told that he loves me.. just me too

After I said like two or three months. I stop saying.. I want to hear it from him but never.. he never said it

Honestly it might be she is not feeling love with texts. Every one gets love differently. It might just be her texting is communicating with you. With her pain she might not feel love. When your there her pain dampens some and she feels those feelings.

I say dont read into it but maybe talk with her.
