I was 10, started at 3am. My mom had showed me how to use a pad. I went, woke her up, told her I started. She said"you know what to do. " and went back to sleep. So I put on a pad and went back to sleep too.

I was 13 and I called 911🤦♀️
I haven't had it, because I'm a guy. It's sad that girls have periods. Many girls have also stomach pain then and I don't want them to be hurt. 😟
Still waiting 🙈

I was 11. My first time wasn’t heavy at all, just a few specs of blood. So naturally I didn’t think much of it, though I knew what periods were I didn’t realize I had gotten them. Finally the next mensuration (2nd) was heavier, to the point that I couldn’t just ignore it. So I went and spoke to my mother privately. I told her something bad has happened to me. She kept asking me what but I couldn’t respond out of embarrassment and fear. Finally she started to guess, naming off a few things. When she named period I told her yes. She didn’t make it such a big deal THANK GOD, she just showed me where products were.
Almost 13 getting ready for swimming practice, noticed a couple of little red spots on my white cotton undies. Pulled them right back up got a pad out of the machine and felt like I was sitting on a mattress the rest of the day. Skipped swimming that day, who wants to go swimming with a mattress between your legs, it was the super absorbent kind so it would've probably soaked up all the water in the pool!! Got home and got one of those littl thin panty liners. My Mom was so excited when I told her, I think she even told my Dad because he was extra nice to me. My obtuse brothers thankfully had no idea what was going on.
I was 12 and I went to Christian school at the time so they didn’t teach any sex Ed or anything like that so I didn’t know what it was
I went to the bathroom and saw it and yelled FUCK in the highly religious schools bathroom... all the kindergartens where in the bathroom washing there hands for lunch when I yelled that to I was convicted I was dying so when my dad picked me up for school I said “hey when is mom getting off work” and my dad said why? I said “ oh nothing” answered then he asked again and said “ are you bleeding somewhere... cause if so you are a women now” I CRINGED SO HARD WHEN MY DAD SAID THAT AHHHI was kind of horrified because the blood was brown and extremely heavy (even though it was fresh) so I thought something was wrong with me. It took a few months for it to finally turn red.
I tried to hide it from my mom but she found out. I was in the fifth or 6th grade at the time.I was 12 and I just had a horrible day when I first got it. I was crying and angry. Little did I know I was experiencing pms. I was in the bath and I saw blood. And I was taken back and called my mom. And she immediately was like, "Omg you are a woman now!" And she was really excited for me. And she went outside and told all my brothers and my dad. They had no reaction to it, they didn't even say anything just continued to watch t. v.
I was 11...
I somewhat knew what it was, because few girls had already gotten their period, but I never paid attention to what they said about it.
Lol I even remember the date, one January morning I woke up, and went to bathroom, I saw blood... but I decided to tell my mother after breakfast.I was 13
I was literally on a Rv trip across the country and I was currently in Montana
1-2 days before I was having severe mood swings and was getting angry at my dad and making sarcastic comments 😅 the next day I got my period in the Rv: I literally was like oop got my period, and went and got a pad! I wasn’t freaked out by it at all but definitely explained my anger 😂10.5 years old (not sure the exactly the age I just know I was in the the middle/end of 4th grade) not kidding. Since I already knew what it was I was in the bathroom and I just yelled "MOM I THINK I'M NOT MY PERIOD" she didn't believe me and thought it was food colouring since she got it when she was 14 eventually she believed me.
I was 13. I was on a school camping trip and I got it the morning before we left so I grabbed pads and stuff. That night in the cabin the one girl asked if anyone else had gotten their period yet and I didn't say anything because I was too shy/embarrassed.
I remember that I found pads so lame, I still find it lame. There's literally nothing cool with periods, it's the definiton of 'fucked up'
I was 14 >_< i was a late bloomer and it happened when I was in class.
I was more so embarrass that I was so late. I mean my babysitter had hers before I did.I what like 12 or 13 and it was nasty and i hated it. Not that anyone knew i had it but it gross but it didn't hurt
Literally happened on my 12 birthday... I was in denial at first, and then I remembered what we'd learned in health class and was just like damn it! I wanted it pushed back! XD
I’m pretty sure my sister got her first one at 14 and still to this day she is 16 now she cries about the cramps 😂
14, I knew how to deal with it from hearing my sister and Mom talk about it for years. I basically said 'oh this sucks' then put on a pad and went about my day.
I had my first period at the end of a sentence. Solid sentence. Many more periods now that I'm an English major. 😂
I was 12 and relieved because I realized why I’d had such terrible stomach cramps all afternoon.
I was nervous. I got it on my birthday at a friends house. Right before a long car ride.
I was 11 and i thought i was dying. I didn't think a period happened until like 15 lol.
I was 12 and it wasn’t really a big deal but month later it became really painful and I still I hate that time of the month.
