How can I get my gym crush to talk to me?

I really hope it's not in my head but he does look at me and he seems nice. I want to get acquainted. What can I do without going up to him and speaking first?

It is really against gym etiquette to hit on someone in the gym so if the guy is like me it's never going to happen. I see cute girls all the time and regular ones but I don't want to bother anyone they should feel safe to come to work out the same way I do. I have a gym crush too, but there is no way I would ever approach her.

Also, I don't want after getting rejected every time we are in the gym together she's thinking "oh great that guy with the crush on me is here."

So if you really want to chat with this guy I think you will have to make the first move and ask him about an exercise he's doing or ask him if he knows an exercise that will target your ____ "because I see you in here a lot and looks like you know what you're doing... what's your name by the way?". Once you have his name you can say "Hi, ______" and be more friendly each time. Maybe eventually ask if he wants to be "workout buddies"

Another option is to get a little stalker-ish on him and find out when he arrives/leaves if it is a regular time plant yourself outside the gym and make yourself open to conversation (no earbuds, not on your phone, maybe even actively seeking help like wondering what time it is or at least making eye contact and smiling).

there is no "sure fire" way of getting him to approach you and talk to you, you could "drop your stuff", when he's near and HOPE he helps, etc, etc.

But those are all games of chance, I know it can be spooky but the only 100% way to get acquainted is to talk.

But if your insistent on trying to play games, you could

1. "accidentally" drop your stuff when he's near hoping hell be nice enough to help
2. figure out where he's going next, and then "accidentally" bump into him physically and at a decent clip, claiming you were just trying to get to the bathroom in time and hope that goes somewhere, then again he might start wondering why you just started talking when it was so imperative for you to get to the bathroom in time.
3."accidentally" take something of his, and when he calls you on it just say it was an accident and you thought it was yours

etc, etc

but back to my original point, the only 100% sure fire way is to, go up and say something.

And at that point some guys hate it when girls play games, so doing any of the said things above could potentially have the opposite effect your going for.
