Why is this girl eavesdropping into my conversations?

Like lets say I'm talking to my friends and she is in the proximity but I'm not talking to her, obviously, and she either laughs at something I say or makes a comment or a sarcastic remark or if it is some sort of complaint she will make this crying sound, like if I'm being too dramatic. Of course, if I talk TO her, she acts like if I'm the least interesting and unfunniest person in the world and yet things that are none of her business she finds fascinating.

i think she wants you to pay attention to her. Laughing, playing around... She's like hey I'm here,but you could tell from my voice, righttt. I know from myself, I can't talk to or look at the guy I like. and when I talk to him, it gets kinda weird for me and I wanna get away quickly. If I try to talk to her she acts like she is annoyed and I'm not funny at all and yet when I stop talking to her, she feels the need to "chip in" into any conversations I have with other people. I've seen her talking to her friends and other guys (that I know, for a fact, are "just friends") and she doesn't behave like this.

Omfg I joined here just because I literally have the same exact situation as you. Personally I just started highschool this school year, so I'm learning how to socialize with older people and girls (I went to an all boys school for a while). There's this girl that I used to talk with for a little bit at the beginning of the school year who seemed to like me, as she would laugh at my mediocre jokes and shit, but now she barely says a word when i see her. If I'm passing her in the hallways I try to ignore her (eye contact can be awkward between us), and she rarely laughs when I say stuff anymore. She seems to be very happy with talking with other people, but a lot of my friends say she's weird. I personally don't think so at all, neither do I care if she is. Anyway, getting sidetracked here, I like her a lot, but I have no fucking clue if she likes me back. I don't want to get too attached to her because I know there are other "fish in the sea" and lingering really won't do anything.

I have the same situation with you where she comes in when I'm having my own separate conversation, but she does nothing to seek me out or anything. What would be a comfortable way to approach her, without it being too awkward or uncomfortable for either of us.

By the way, no she does not have a boyfriend, but I have seen her talking with other guys. The main reason I'm still trying to win her over is because when I stop trying, she makes the effort to try herself, but not enough so that any connection can be made between us. Should I let her keep trying or let her try herself? If I do continue, how should I go about flirting with her to not seem like a complete needy ass wimp?

Either she's just nosey by nature & is the type of person who just happens to have an opinion on everything OR she likes you but probably doesn't want you to find out because she's shy or because she doesn't want to admit it to herself.

she is 21. One of the reasons she caught my eye was that I could have an intelligent conversation with her, she is "mature" (on some things) for her age. Then again, we have this situation that speaks the opposite. One day she just started giving me the cold shoulder and after days of that, I got tired of it and decided to ignore her and then she started doing the eavesdropping into my conversations thing.

you say she has giving you the cold shoulder, maybe she realized that she likes you. she didn't know how you felt and distanced herself from you. I'm a bit of a romantic so I don't know if you can trust my saying but don't trust to Jsqueek as well. This won't get you anywhere so you should go and ask her directly and find it out for yourself.

It is confusing. Her friends have told me the she has never had a boyfriend, that she is "shy"(even though she doesn't act like that with other people) and that she is just being "young and silly". When I was younger (in HS) I used to do intrude into conversations if I liked the girl who was talking, I would make fun of her and try to get her to look at me or say something because of my constant teasing, maybe she is doing the same thing? but I know that if she talked to me I didn't act annoyed
