Why do women contradict themselves in relationships?

I had a female friend in high school who would constantly date guys who "weren't like any other", then would change almost everything about them. Then she would wonder why he changed so much, when she caused it and then move on. I hear stories like that happen all over the place. Why do women sometimes do that?

I think that's the human condition. I have seen what you describe where a woman chances everything about a guy and doesn't realise she's changed everything she liked about the guy but to be honest those guys tgat allow themselves to be changed like that have no backbone and that's unattractive in a man.

Two things, it's ok to change some small things when you date, but more in the way of meeting on the middle. That way you haven't really changed a thing. That goes for men and women alike

Change can be good or bad. If they were abusive and turned helpful, isn't that good? Was the change for the better or worse?
