Rape cases have always happened frequently regardless of where you live. We will often blame the rapist and comfort the victim and this is where it ends. But, what we should be doing instead is teaching those women how to defend themselves. It's more about emotional strength than physical one. A rapist is a bad guy, do whatever you can to stop him and do not hesitate for a single moment to kill him if necessary. Running away isn't the best thing to do as it's likely that he will be faster. Screaming and drawing attention is a good idea if you're in a populated area.

I learnt self defense and know the target spots to attack... Never underestimate the amount of power and adrenalin a women can have and generally comes out under these circumstances.. May God forbid, I pray no one goes through this

Unless you have been in that position it’s so easy to sit and stand there and say you will do this and that I always thought I would punch them and fight them off but that’s not what happened when I was raped he was a lot more stronger and More overpowering than I was even when he was pulling my hair so tight and dragging me I still couldn’t do anything to fight him off and my screams despite there being people near by they went unheard when he was done rapping me I ran and I reported the rape immediately to the Police

I'm sorry for what happened to you. Once he gets you on the ground and holds your hands down it's so hard for you to escape. That's why you shouldn't let that happen in the first place. Did he follow you before it happened?

Um what the hell so your basically blaming me for being raped if you aren’t that is exactly how it comes across when you said I shouldn’t have let that happen in the first place did you not read my part where I said he was a lot stronger than me and overpowered me it’s okay for you to sit there behind your phone or computer and say you can prevent being raped but you have no idea how you would react when it happens to you

Did you ever stop to think maybe a rape victim had a knife or a gun to their head and that maybe they had been stabbed and were paralysed before they were raped so again unless anyone has been in that position you can say you will do this and that but everyone reacts differently

Maybe next time think before you blame a rape victim for being raped

I am not blaming you for getting raped, defenatley not. I am just saying that it could have been prevented. I assume you weren't raped in a highly populated area, and I would also assume you saw the rapist following you, am I right?
