It's hard to say. I can't imagine it being as traumatizing to me as to a female, but I could be wrong. There's no penetration, no risk of pregnancy, in my case. And I have been the subject of very violent physical assaults (gang beating by dozens overpowering me while saving a couple, and ended up in hospital) and even that wasn't too traumatic. I did have something resembling PTSD for some months that came out when I drank, but I stopped drinking and for some months and I became fine. So I just can't imagine it being that traumatizing to me, but again I don't know. Generally I'd just think to try to walk it off and think little of it as long as I didn't catch any diseases or suffer any permanent injuries.

I have been subdued and overpowered and humiliated in violent contexts, and I could walk that off. But it didn't actually involve sex. So if there's a traumatic element I'm aware of, it would specifically have to be the sex part. Yet it's difficult for me to imagine a scenario where sex is traumatizing.
- +1 y
But really brutal beatings I've suffered from that particular gang incident above. They didn't stop when I was down, and I broke two ribs, fractured hand (blocking their kicks broke my hand), lost teeth which went through my upper lip... probably would be dead if police didn't arrive. That's as close of a scenario as I can relate to, and it wasn't too traumatic... but again there was nothing sexual about it, only violence.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI'm not sure how I'd feel, I've never been in a situation like that. I'd probably feel embarassed, robbed, and would be scared of other's reactions. I'd never want to have sex with anyone other than the person I'll spend my life with, so I'd probably end up degrading myself and constantly blaming myself for not stopping it effectively. Considering most people believe guys always want sex and are always happy about sex with anyone, I'd feel even more embarassed and scared, even secluded, from others

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yFemale to male sexual assault is more likely to involve extreme youth or manipulation as teenagers.
Guys molested or statutorily raped by women seem to become messed up mentally about women, confused about the role of sex, extraordinarily promiscuous, depressed or anxious about romantic relationships or their self worth, cynical about women, self destructive in relationships, confused about power and sex, abuse substances, etc.
I’ve known several. It’s not nothing.
The tv character Don Draper on Mad Men is a prime example. He was raped by a woman. An erection is not consent.40 Reply
967 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes, it is possible for women to rape or sexually assault a man. It tends to happen more when guys are incapacitated by alcohol. I am glad more men are coming forward about their experiences, and I believe how each man chooses to handle it (report it, don't report it, etc.) is up to him and what he feels is right for him.
It may be less common than male on male and male on female rape, but it is no less awful, and these men deserve compassion.64 Reply- +1 y
Sorry to contradict you. If I drink too much alcohol, so that I don't have my wits together any more: seriously - I'd blame myself and admit that I have been stupid. I would NOT (!) feel raped. I agree with you to leave a ''response'' to the individual ''victim''.
- +1 y
@andreasderjuengere How you choose to see it is up to you, but if you are too drunk to consent, that's rape in this country.
- +1 y
Yes, by ''wording'' it is. I just have a problem to replace my own responsibility/-ies into the hands of some law makers. I see this solely from my own (male) point of view; I would not ever transfer this onto ''your'' side. To me a ''raped'' man is a much different case than a raped woman. Equality in all honours - but we aren't exactly the same.

I have couple of guy friends who told me how some of the girls tried to rape them, some spiked their drinks. I asked them, why didn't you report it. Did you tell anyone else about this. They told me they didn't report it and didn't tell any other friends because they thought others especially guys would laugh at them, make fun of them. I think it's horrible. When a girls is molested, sexually assaulted, people feel bad for her and try to give her support. Try to help them in anyway they can, but when it happens to guys. Most people don't take it seriously and ridiculous the victims.
43 ReplyI was molested as a child. I told the adults. My mom pursued action. Guess what. Nothing happens. Dont think for a minute that women are raped more then men. The difference being men ar taught to be brave, tough and strong, so I'd say a good majority compared to women never say anything. The men that do are usually ridiculed, made fun of and degraded for not being a man. Worse if you where rapes by same gender even less likely it's going to be reported because then your made fun of for being gay and other things. But once again men by absurd societies double standards dont get raped and if a man did no one cares anyways.
30 Reply320 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. That depends. Did I know her or was this a sudden assault by an unknown assailant?
I know the person and we have electronic communication, I would try to get a record of her admission of the crime and go to the police with as early as possible, with as much evidence as preserved as possible.
If not… was I bound, blackmailed, drugged, overpowered by numbers…? Where am I? Does the jurisdiction's laws have provisions for male rape-victims or do sex-crimes involve ONLY female-victims, by definition? But, I'd think I would try to contact the police A. S. A. P. on the spot… I guess.
But planning while safe and after the crime in the middle of the trauma are 2 different things.00 Reply- 319 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.
+1 yIt is less common but equally a disgusting crime. I really wish that men can stand for themselves AND get the support they need instead of people being like 'MeN dOn'T gEt RaPeD'
Maybe there are things men perceive differently but it is still equally hurtful of an experience.40 Reply - 342 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.

Hmmm. I think id need to guage the exact scenario to know how id react.
If I was somehow physically held down and forced or anally raped, then yes, I'm going to the police. I'd hope to keep it out of the media spotlight though.
If I was passed out at a party and some girl fucked me while I was asleep, my reaction would depend on several factors:
How impaired was she?
Am I single at the time
Would I have wanted to have sex with her in the first place?
What were my actions before is gotten drunk, or before I'd passed out? What were hers?00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI recently read a story of this guy and two of his employees stayed at this hotel on a business trip, well that guy was hard in his sleep and this woman, an employee of his, came into his room (they never had any sort of relationship apart from boss and employee) and raped him in his sleep which he woke up to her riding him... he did want to take her to court and get rid of her but he just let her go and got a restraining order against her.
30 ReplyReading the responses from men was just crazy. I had a conversation similar to this with my 19 year old brother and told me if it happened he'd be embarrassed and wouldn't tell anyone. Honestly women can rape men. it may not be as violent but drugging him or getting him drunk makes it possible.

+1 yI simply cannot imagine how a woman technically would rape me. Does she want to put me upside down and let my tool dangle in? Assault - recently a woman had grabbed my butt. Legally, that could have counted as assault. But really - it did not kill me, and I just told her off. How I felt? Something between amused and repelled.

+1 yhate to say it but depending on if that person was attractive or not. if not I would feel bad , but if it was attraction I probably wouldn't mind at all. although I'm assuming it's no time to use a condom. then overall I'd be upset. id alert the authorities and get tested.
00 ReplyWell, im not quite sure, i can't exactly speak for futer me (lol) but id probably end up thinkin 1, wtf, 2, either i was just the easiest target, and or, im bigger than i thought, 3, how the hell do i get out of this, 4, how the hell did i get into this, and 5, what does she look like and act like, do i even want to get out? Lol. Though od make it a bit more funny

+1 ySeriously, how many women sexually assault a male? If a male is not into it can he actually get a hard on? I mean you have men who can't get it up when they want so getting it up while be assaulted is a dream.

You can still sexually assault or rape someone even if they have problems getting an erection, you can also force an erection with certain tools or substances, like viagra for example. Drop some of that into someone's drink right after knockout drugs and they'll be blacked out with an erection, completely vulnerable.
And alcohol doesn't inhibit a man's ability to get an erection, drunk sex is a common thing, and a minority of guys has erectyle dysfunction so that's hardly an argument anyway - +1 y
That's like saying "If a female isn't into it can she actually get wet? I mean you have women who can't get wet when they want so getting wet while being assaulted is a dream." Now, tell me, how well do you reckon that'd go down?

@geminiboner Maybe she learned her lesson. It's not something, what a good girl would do for sure. It was probably humiliating for that boy.
When I was a teen I worked at a retailer and was a cashier often. There was this fairly unattractive women roughly my same age. When there were circumstances where we had to be in close proximity to each other she would intentionally rub/grind herself into me in tight quarter passing.

Unless she had an STD, was super ugly/smelly or was trying to get me trapped into child support it would be next to impossible to rape me because you can't rape the willing. In a case like that I would just take legal action against her.00 ReplyI think that we'd probably feel all the same things women do, but perhaps not quite to the same degree? It already has happened a number of times and people have been convicted across jurisdictions, though not as commonly.
Like women getting lubricated is an involuntary response, so are men's erections. Alcohol, sleeping pills, blackmail, etc. are just among the tools the victims have reported/ the convicted have admitted to using. - +1 y

@BonnieBunny Understandable. Thanks for the clarification.

I haven't been raped it's still possible, I've been given unwanted attention by both genders nothing too scarring but yeah when talking to a shrink (a woman shrink) no one takes you seriously, they defect.
- +1 y
@geminiboner Man, that sucks.
Unfortunately, law enforcement can also take these cases very lightly, depending on their jurisdiciton's laws. Back in the Philippines, there was a report that a guy reported his rape by a woman to the police Unfortunately, like many nations, anti-rape laws are only pro-women and have no provisions for male-rape victims. Somehow, she even escaped the lighter "acts of lasciviousness" charge, which is the male-victim's only applicable charge. They told him to not let it happen to him again and, then, let him leave. Of course, this sad report wasn't televised in English, since that's our dirty family-underwear in the public stream, so it's for our eyes only. - +1 y
Nevermind law enforcement, I was talking seeking help psychiatrist in this is when I was very young anyway when I may not have understood things but I knew this without a doubt yeah it's sad.
