Yes of course it is intentional.
The friendzone has been created by girls or boys for a very specific and good reason.
All those that do not fulfill the conditions to be outside that friendzone are integrated in it and what pretty much concerns the entire humanity except for the lucky one that has been chosen by the target person to be outside of it and that has the favors of the person you are seeking.
There is nothing you can (or should) do to leave that zone. Any attempt to leave it is a direct attack to the happiness of the person you are considering. Is that your aim to destroy their happiness so that you can take his place?
You may not see your competitor as worthy as you of her favors or love yet she chose him over you and she had her good reasons for it. Why not just leave it be rather than wanting to jeopardize it? The other might have something you don't have like the type of personality, character, intellect she finds attractive or he just was there at the right time when she needed someone to understand and/or support her.
It is hard to be second but believe me, being in a friendzone may result being positive for you at the end after all. By having been placed there, she gave you a chance to find someone that is perhaps better suited for you then her. It may not be today but tomorrow or the day after and you might even be thankful one day to have been friendzoned.
You know, I could say the same for men: guys friendzone women as well, so don't make this into a gender thing!
With that being said, if I friendzone a guy, it's simply because I see him as just a friend. I don't have any romantic interest in him.
I'm not trying to mislead him or hurt him; I'm simply not attracted to him in that way. And I usually say so upfront rather than lead him on and give him any false hope.
True, I just wanted guys to realize that we get friendzoned too- you're looking at a woman that's been friendzoned so much it's pathetic! :|
It sucks no matter how you look at it, I think we can both agree on that much.
I had a lot of guy friends in school mainly because I get along with them better than women. At one point or another nearly all of them professed their feelings to me and it came down to the fact I just... wasn't attracted to them in that way. That's not to say my guy friends weren't attractive or handsome. Most of them were. I just didn't have feelings for them. In my case, and I imagine in most cases, women don't friend zone you to be cruel or hurtful. We just don't have feelings for you. Its that simple.
Yes most of the time. It would only be unintentional if it as clear she was into you but expected you to be the man and make a bold move, but you were such a big loser that you didn't pick up on that. I personally show clear interest if I like the guy, I am just not going to be the firstone to ask him out, kiss or do anything like that. The reason is that I like guys who are assertive. While I can be assertive to an extent most of the time it feels like a struggle.
Other than that if you made it obvious you like her (you told her or asked her out) and she didn't reciprocate then it is clearlt intentional.
It's simply because they aren't interested in someone romantically and or sexually. Everyone is entitled to have preferences in who they want to be romantic with. Friends are a good thing but it's understandable that it can be hurtful for someone who isn't desired. Sometimes 'just' friends can turn into more. To me friendship is a good thing.
Uh I don’t know. I don’t do it intentionally, but if I’m not attracted to them I will be up front and just say I like you as a friend. If I’m attracted to a guy I obviously wouldn’t intentionally friend zone them
Being friend zoned is not always a bad thing. it usually means they want to keep you in their life. maybe there isn’t an instant spark or maybe there’s something going on in their lives where it just doesn’t work. but if you are truly their friend then you are probably a valuable person in their life
I can't speak for all girls. But I will say that I do friend zone guys intentionally. I don't do it right away of course, I tend to friend zone guys when I don't really feel that attraction towards them. They can be very good looking but I wouldn't find myself falling for them or having the slightest crush on them.
I guess it depends what you mean by that. If a guy ends up in the friend zone, I’d say it’s something that just happens. It’s just the way I think about the guy. However, if I start giving direct signs that we’re exclusively friends, it’s because I figured out that he might have a thing for me, and I’m intentionally trying to discourage it.
So I’d say I don’t friend zone guys intentionally, but if they find out that they’re in the friend zone it’s usually because I want them to know.
I don't think people put much conscious effort into mentally categorizing every single person they meet, but it's also not as if we are completely unaware of our own feelings towards another person. Either the feelings are there, or there aren't. It's not really like you "put" someone in a certain zone on purpose, or to be spiteful. I don't really think you can control whether you see someone as a friend or something more. Therefore I'm not sure I could say that it's done "intentionally".
no
it really is a unawary thing most of the time for me.
it will depend on how we vibe from day one. once in a while i do automatic friendzone a male this help keep things light and not get his hopes up high and let him know im just offering friendship and nothing more.
Sometimes I do and sometimes don't.
I say Mate Bruh Broe man dud a lot (yeah you read them right)
Honestly I can say if I'm not physically attracted to you I tend to friend zone you but if you shoot your shot I'll hear you out and you might actually get out of it if not I'll politely decline and never discuss what happened with anyone.
Yes most of the time. You have to do it so the guy gets a hint that you’re not interested. I like having guy friends but guys can get the wrong intentions so I have to friendzone them. Then again I’ve accidentally friend zoned a guy I liked and it was very annoying
Yes we do! But I still remember the silly thing that I did, I was hanging out with my crush and we were having sooo much fun BUT I said "let's beeee best friend" to him accidentally and ruined everything (ughhh I still get annoyed about it) well, in brief it's intentionally but that kind of accidents might happen too
No. If I meet a guy and we get along but there's no spark then it would be nice to be friends. Some guys are fine with that and are used to having women friends and doesn't mind it, others aren't fine with it and will move on. The friendzone does not exist. No one gets forced to be anyones friend, if it's not what you want it's real easy to move on. It's just a way to feel sorry for yourself.
if They had no clue about the other person’s interest then no.
But either way, if they just want to be friends, there’s no need to decipher their motives any further. It’s already spelled out for you.
Usually friend zones them because the guy doesn't have the beneficial for the girl to want to take a big step and make him her boyfriend. They friendzone them because they are a nice person and dont want to let that go while they try to find something better. Guys do the same thing.
Yeah I do.
I'd rather be honest with a dude and tell him I'm not interested and that he's just a friend, than lead him on. Leading someone on is basically lying and it's way worse and way more hurtful than honestly friend-zoning someone.
The girl can't help it if she doesn't feel attracted towards the guy... So I think friendzoning is the most safest way to not give any further hopes to the boy...
Yes, when I know that a certain guy likes and I don't feel the same way. If I'm going to have situation where I have to talk to him I'll friend zone him
Lol of course we do. Sometimes we meet a really great guy who we’re not attracted to, but he’s fun to hang out with and we get along really well, so we just stay friends. Don’t take it personally.
I do. If I'm not interested, I'm not interested. But if your a friendly dude, I dont see why we can't be friends.
Yes. If I just want to be friends then of course I’ll put a guy in the friend zone.
Girls have friends if that's what you mean. Not every girl will like you enough to date you. I'm not sure I understand your queation.
Oh then you need to leave her alone or just be friends. Do girls do it intentionally, I'd say no. You can't help who you like and dont like and no one wants to be bugged about it by someone they consider a friend
I can’t speak for anyone else but I friend zone a guy if I wouldn’t date him. It’s pretty simple
Yes. I have plenty of guy friends, but wouldn’t want to date them.
I do it with intent yes. So you don't have to waste your time and can move on
Yes, if there isn’t a romantic attraction, but he’s a nice guy.
depends on the guy. i tend to do that to a guy if he gets too clingy
Yes BUT I’ll tell you the absolute truth. A girl who REALLY likes a guy will absolutely NOT do that.
I automatically friendzone literally every guy. 🌈
Well, it's my default setting. Probably why I'm very gay.
But I friendzone women too.
I've done that part already. I'm settling for just this one for the foreseeable future.
If i don’t want more than a friendship, yes
