Why does girl respond in one word answers after texting first?

There's this girl i like and we snap pretty often. It's common for her to start the convo by asking like "Heyy, what's up?" and when i respond and ask her how she is doing she says something among the lines of "ok" or "nothing special" and i have to revive the conversation... Is there a logic to this?
