(This opinions coming from a bisexual) I have quite a lot of lesbian friends and it honestly has absolutely nothing to do with them wanting to “do away with there femininity” hair length doesn’t have a gender so saying stuff like, wow a girls cutting her hair. She wants to be a boy is straight up childish thoughts, to be completely honest.
Girls of any sexuality can do whatever they want, they can even wear a suite. That has absolutely no correlation with them “not wanting to be feminine or wanting to be masculine”. They’re just regular people who just want to be themselves.

"BUTCH" lesbians cut their hair short like a man. It shows that they are the dominant masculine in-charge one in the lesbian relationship.
She would be the one to wear the strap-on most often when having sex with her submissive feminine partner with the longer hair.
A lot of people did not read beyond the initial question. lol Anyway, yeah, I think looking more traditionally masculine is part of it, as well is making a statement, and just for practical reasons. Many women have straight hair because of a pressure to fit the traditionally viewed feminine style or to attract men. If you don't have a reason to do either of those things, then having long hair is just an unnecessary hindrance.
Usually cause they wanna appear more masculine to attract women.. At least that's how I see it.. Same reason why a lot of gay girls sort of act feminine..

I am bisexual and did it explore another side of me. I felt like I couldn’t be myself with guys and that they expected me to be ultra femme, passive and submissive. It was liberating to cut it short, guys always told me I had beautiful long hair and was not allowed to cut it. Only one guy encouraged me because he thought I looked like Sinead O’Connor and short hair would suit me.
Anyway I did and it was sort of a signal to girls, I noticed a lot of girls showed interest in me, and more than before. Maybe because it was some kind of signal and I did not look like a “princess” anymore they assumed were straight. One easy way to signal to others that you are a lesbian is adopting a "lesbian look." This makes it easier to find and attract potential mates given that the VAST majority of women are straight. In a similar way, gay guys will also adopt a "gay look" and gay mannerisms that even include gay speech patterns. Do you REALLY believe that male homosexuality corresponds to having a lisp as a speech impediment? Probably more likely that guy dudes find adopting that speech pattern makes it easier for them to signal to others that they're FAAAAAAABBBBBBULLLLOOOOOUUUUUUSSSSSSSS! I mean that they're gay.
It depends on the individual. Some are more feminine (what they call a "lipstick lesbian"), some are more masculine (butch lesbian), and others are in the middle (chapstick lesbian). It's all about how they want to look and express themselves in the end.
Not Just Lesbians Cut Their Hair Short!
I'm a Lesbian and I Still Have Long Natural Blonde Hair
and Lots Of My Lesbian Friends (Almost All Of Them) Have Long Beautiful Hair.
A Girl With Short Hair Does NOT Mean She Is a Lesbian.
But A Girl Wearing A Ring On Her Thumb Is a Signal That She Is A Lesbian. Why do heterosexual women cut their hair?
Because it is too long.
Long hair is harder to take care of.
They like a shorter style.
The long hair is too warm for them.
Their job makes it hard to have long hair. Not all lesbians do that, and not all girls cutting their hair short are lesbians. Some do cut their hair and appear masculine because they feel comfortable in their masculinity. Its not just about aesthetics, but about expressing yourself more confidently.
I think it's just so people know, a lot of times lesbians get harassed by a lot of people when it comes to their sexuality, the shorter hair or the pixie cut is usually a good sign that a woman is somewhat queer or majorly that is a lesbian besides that some women just like shorter hair, she looks great both ways to me
I really don’t give a flying fuck about how people cut their hair, wear makeup, etc. But generally true lesbians and true gay men seem to have some sort of hormone shift in their brains. The stereotypes of the lesbian butching it up and the gay man acting camp is more often true in my observations than it’s not.
Whatever. Do what ever the fuck your want with your life just as long it doesn’t interfere with mine.I don't get it and I don't know why. Just like I don't get girls who date dykes, they are literally females pretending to be men, of you wanted to date a man just date a man not woman pretending to be a man 😂
Because everything is a statement I suppose. Hair, clothes, the way you walk, etc. If you fit the current stereotype for feminity (like keeping your hair long, painting your face, wearing uncomfortable shoes with high heels or wearing tight clothes) it probably means you're straight tooIf a woman doesn't fit then she might not have the stereotypical sexual orientation of a stereotypically feminine woman
That sounds like the start to a good joke.
Why do lesbians cut their hair? Because fighting through bush, is a man's workBecause they are trying to take on the male role? I don't know.. I mean the ones that do maybe. The ojes that are actually loke that. Not eveeyone with shorter hair is one. I heard one saying how they loke to be on top thats probably related.
maybe they want to make it obvious that they are lesbians so that they can meet more potential partners. Some lesbians are feminine looking so it might be hard to know what they are in to and the hair cut makes it more obvious.
? Because people cut their hair and lesbians are people?
Length of hair has nothing to do with their sexual preferences, women with short hair aren't neccesarily lesbians just like men with long hair aren't neccesarily gay.I honestly have no idea but that's where the idea that one of the lesbians is the "man" in the relationship.
This is not the case and just because she's acts masculine doesn't mean she isn't a woman.because they have daddy issues and try to be as ugly as they can to prevent men from becoming horny by looking at them.
I think it's a rebellion against social standards of what it means to me a woman.
My guess is that they want to look more masculine to appeal to feminine girls as well as feel more masculine themselves. It also serves to deter males from finding them attractive and bothering them
I cannot speak for lesbians, but I find the Pixie ( That short haircut) to be really cute and to bring more attention to your bone structure. I think it's interesting and playful to have both masculine and feminine aspects to your look, it gives you a lot more range to play with your image.
Because its to let other men know not to try and hit on them or court them. Lesbian are like fags, they are sick in the head.
