Frustrating shy girl case.

She is a year older than me.We met,talked a bit...found some common interests.I try texting her and she doesn't seem compelled to answer.I haven't seen her in a while.We had a lot of eye contact.I checked her body language and it indicated interest.

She even gave me the doggy dinner look while I was talking.Asked her a small favor.She obliged.

Ask for a date a month ago but refused,because she was busy with her exams (it is true).

The only means to see her is a date but with all that ice she has and my inability to have an ice breaking conversation,it isn't possible.

Is she being shy,playing hard to get or is she disinterested?

I also noticed her friends are aware of the fact I like her.

I also forgot to say she says 'sorry' when late to reply.

She probably likes you... she is just trying to make sure that you like her in return. No one likes to feel rejected when they really like someone, so it's typical for that person to not want to be "too obvious" but still show interest. Some people have become shy due to having their heart broken in the past, and not wanting to let it get hurt again (it's a fear mindset). I'm just throwing things out there from experience. It really depends on the girl. If she's sweet and quite, she is probably just waiting for you to politely make a move. Hopefully it all works out for the best :)

Well yes but how can I make a move?

She is being prohibitionally indifferent at times.I can't ask for a date while this is happening.I also don't think making THE move is an option while we still haven't gone out.

I feel she's playing hard to get, especially since her friends know you like her and probably told her. I'd try texting her again or calling her to see if you can get a hold of her. If all else fails you can always go to her friends seeing if they could talk to her. That would be the last resort mind you. Hopefully she gets back to you soon.

Actually what I meant is that she replies mostly with two words.Though she always wishes me luck on my exams and seems interested in my schedule even though its the same as her cousin's who I am not related to.How can I call her even if she doesn't open up to me in texts.

In texts she probably likes to get the main viewpoint out and not waste time. If you call her, she'll be forced to listen to what you have to say and have to try to respond to your views on the spot. Hopefully she won't hang up on you. If you can I'd talk to her in person so she'd have to listen to you.
