Do women make choices based on their emotions rather than facts?

I often wonder and question a woman's logic in coming to a conclusion when making choices. So much so that I wonder if she is darn Daft, like not having all the marbles up there. I ask her why she did that and well her reasoning was based on senseless ideas of making him feel better at her expense. "He's a complete asshole to her and she must but dumb".
More and more I come across women who make poor choices on emotions and assumptions rather than pure facts that are right at her fingertips yet they don't grasp them. They take their emotions and mingle them all up in their head and consort some hopeful outcome just by how they feel.

I'm sorry but really? People want a woman to run the United States?

I think this is a huge misconception. We all mixed emotions and facts when deciding and arguing. Their was a study that found that women were more likely to place more emphasis on emotional importance in than the facts. That is actually not a completely horrible thing. If you are too logical you forget how people see and feel to appropriately deal with them. To emphatic and you lose the ability to actually solve the problems or find problems that doesn't exist in areas that do not matter. The healthiest way to be is enough logical sense you can sensibly see the world and update your world views from new information and yet emotional enough to understand what drives humans to actions. Real example though I'm going to leave out who is what. So there is idea that if you are a certain group of people you are more likely died from this. 54 people of this group died of that last year. They claim if you are the other group you do not have this problem. 1000 people of the group died from the same thing and basically they are like 10% more likely to die from this. I changed the numbers a little bit.

I once read a story about decision making that was something like this.

A woman was shopping for a handbag and narrowed it down to 2 a beige handbag and a black handbag, she thought about the pros and cons. The black would match her other clothing.
But she liked the colour beige more.
She decided on the beige handbag because she would feel better buying the one she wanted even know should would have to get a new dress to match.

I've always held the notion that women base decisions on emotion and support them with logic and men base decisions on logic and support them with emotion.
Take a man and a woman into a clothing store, ask them to pick out a coat or something, then ask them why they made their choices.

Yes, everyone knows that
