Personally, I find it stupid to restrict the movements as a joke or a prank. This serves strictly no purpose and could potentially be lethal if worse comes to worst.

Tell your girlfriend that you do not agree to be tied up because if you have no means to untie yourself, you could end up being in a situation that becomes highly uncomfortable and potentially dangerous.
