That's why. Because they cannot be that person in real life. That's why keyboard warriors are who they are. They can't do that in real life so they do it over a keyboard. I'm me all the time.

For that exact reason. They can't be that person irl. Online is the only place they can be the person they want to be. So they take advantage of that. Pretend and roleplay, to an unhappy person, is preferable to harsh reality.
i know im real but people nowadays dont want real, they want a fantasy, they want to hear what they want to hear and when you are real they would bash on you
Well most dating Apps are b. s. For most people. Especially for men. People have too many choices. People dont know what they really want. Then there's ghost profiles, or old dead profiles. Etc. Online dating sucks. We have to do it in person..
Because it's online, must if not everyone has a fake personal at some point in time. Of course there are real people out their but it takes time to get pass their barriers
I'm keeping most out of online oblivious about real me. My profile pic is one of the 3 selfies I've ever taken and took it by accident as looking up a phone I bought earlier that day...
There's an added wall of "security" for lack of a better word. Like thick fog you can't see through. It makes their actions have a lot less consequences so they might say things online that they would never say in person
I dont think anyone is fully open and honest when they first get to know someone. Over time it happens. I think the fear of rejection does play a role in it.

People like think themselves as a "great" person. In reality we all have issues.
Online helps us to hide a bit, so more of our true nature will show.

Yeah. Maybe someday we'll find out the real you... and be equally disappointed.

Cause people lie to make themselves look better or more intresting happens IRL all the same.
Because you cannot tell if someone is actually honest and real, online. If you want reality then step out of virtuality.
That's why it boggles my mind that girls take social SO damn seriously.

The real people aren't spending all of their time online pretending to be something that they are not. We're busy living in the real world

Well. A lot of people build up an online persona to escape their reality
bc the internet is a mask to hide behind but irl you can see who is doing it and you feel guilt.
i always act the same irl and online no matter what
Good, don't ever change that. It's rare.
@White_Widow thanks
Anonymity im afraid, gives people a frightening amount of confidence

Maybe they are ashamed of who they really are? What's your idea of being real?
It’s extremely hard I've gone from girl after girl after girl on this site And there’s one good one that I met but she’s just a friend

I guess when you're online you can be whoever you want. But I'm pretty sure I'm the same person in both places.
