Is it hard to find a decent person?

Not sure if my luck with be different if I approached random girls in real life or not because I never landed a date with one since I could only land dates with girls I met online, but it sure was hard to get a girl to stick around let alone one that didn't have an array of issues. I'd say they were mostly personality type issues, narcissists, insecure to the max or just generally bad people, dishonest etc. Part of me thinks they flock to the dating sites because they aren't liked in real life just like myself, but I don't consider myself a bad person.

I'm just introverted and kind of socially retarded when it comes to relationships and stuff I guess you could say because I tend to keep to myself, not that I prefer it that way. I want to get out and hang out with friends just like anyone else would, but I only have a couple good friends. Opinions? I'm just so amazed how many people are liars and cheaters and just so self centered. I pick up on that so quick now where before i'd ignore it.

Man, I feel you. Finding good people, especially romantically, can definitely be tough. A few thoughts:

- Dating sites tend to attract all types, from the lonely to the shady. Kinda a mixed bag when it comes to quality.

- Don't be too hard on yourself for being more introverted. Nothing wrong with preferring your own company sometimes. But maybe challenging yourself to socialize more could open doors.

- Having a few good friends is better than lots of fair-weather folks. Focus on strengthening those bonds and meeting new people through them. Quality over quantity.

- Don't lose hope that decent girls exist! Maybe try lower-key ways of connecting like clubs, classes, hobby groups - low pressure ways to find common interests first.

- We all have room to grow. Keep working on yourself too - passions, career, confidence. Become the kind of fun, interesting guy YOU want to attract.

Keep your head up, bro. This dating world ain't easy but don't let it get you down. You seem like a sincere dude - just focus on living your best life and the right person may come along when you least expect it. You got this!

I would say that how conservative the area you live in would definitely have some impact on how difficult it is, but in general I would say that if one is doing everything right then it is not very difficult.

If you have social struggles, you can always address them and work with a specialist. No one except you can do it anyway, so if you want your social life to improve, you must work on it...
