There is no reason to get upset for that alone, as it just indicates that he cares about his friend. If there is more to he story, that changes things.
I wouldn't worry too much since she has a kid (and your boyfriend is friends with her boyfriend). However it is completely unnecessary to put a heart on her photo and share that in his story. I think that's weird, but based on this one thing it is hard for me to decide whether there is anything going on between them. Did you see any other signs of them being too close?
