Why do women expect men to be mind readers?

I will admit, my relationship would have gone a lot smoother at times if my man could have read my mind. Sometimes we just expect the man to already know. Other times we are too embarrassed or shy to point something out or dont want to come across as petty or needy. And a lot of times, men ARE just oblivious to the female for whatever reason. I feel like when a couple have been together for so long and the man loves the woman and vice versa, they should be able to somewhat read each others minds to an extent. It becomes second nature if you pay attention to that person for so long. If they dont care about one another they will lack the communication and ignore body language, etc

No there are a few exceptions but the majority really expect us to be mind readers and I have never met one of those exceptions in my life only seen them on tiktok

They don't- they expect them to be women. Women tend to communicate much more through subtlety and nuance, relying on people picking up the things they DON'T say. Men are much more direct. You would think that a few decades of life experience would make people realize that the opposite sex does things differently, and try to compensate for it, and some do, but for reasons I'll never understand, most don't.

It's actually not that big an issue with some women. I have conditioned my girlfriend to recognize the behavior in herself and she has gotten much better about it. When she does it on occasion now I just jokingly say something like "did I miss a memo or something?" and she snaps out of it.

Nothing wrong with that, but keep an open mind. Sometimes you meet the best girls when you're not trying to. Don't miss an opportunity... believe it or not, there are still some good women out there despite all appearances to the contrary.
