I had a friend who was an ultimate femme fatale and practically a female version of a fuckboi. She tended to have a new guy she slept with every week or two and then she would dump them, leaving them so confused and I've even seen one of them cry.

That said, as a friend, she was extremely high-maintenance. We often had to break her up from fistfights where she actually throws punches like a guy (she even gave me a black eye by accident clocking me when I was trying to break up the fight). She also cried a lot. One time we brought her to a nightclub with very young people, and she started crying hysterically since no one approached her (one of the rare times in her life when she wasn't the center of attention).

She's a professional comedian and minor celebrity and used to the spotlight. She's actually very funny and fun as a friend but quite a handful, and I feel bad for all the guys she seduced only to immediately ditch them once she had them.

I forgot if I told you this about her the last time but she also went to Italy when she was young for vacation with practically no money. She didn't have money for a hotel or food or anything. Yet she funded her entire vacation by seducing various Italian guys and getting them to accommodate her and fund her vacation. She's kind of crazy.

One thing is that she's quite bold. Many aspects about her remind me of guys, although there are also some extremely feminine kinds of qualities. For example, she doesn't have the common fear that women have of venturing out in the streets at night. She throws punches like a guy. And she's also quite strong (she can do many pull-ups which are rare for women to be able to do). A lot of the things she did are quite reckless and dangerous but the danger doesn't seem to register to her, or maybe she even likes playing with fire that way.

Also on Halloween one time, she didn't have a costume so all she did was take off her clothes and walk around the streets of Roppongi in lingerie and went clubbing in her lingerie. She was out of control.

This is my first time hearing about the "femme fatale" but I think this is definitely one of those situations where if a person exibits signs of being high maintanence, they'd be likely to exhibit signs of bad motivations. (assuming that they're going based on the definition below)

So to answer the question, yes. But I don't think that many quite understand the depth of their issues. So, most times in reality, a high maintanence women doesn't have malevolent intentions (like a femme fatale could have), they're just naively misguided motivations.

But of course, if a femme fatale isn't limited to having malevolent intentions, then it could fit even more. If not, entirely. Depending on someone's definition of femme fatale.
