He used to find me attractive in the past. We never dated and aren’t even friends. We had some conversations in the instagram DM’s months ago. He is he being nice to me?

It’s hard to tell without knowing the guy, but here are some of my thoughts. He might be saying it to be nice. He could also be using this as a chance/excuse to message you and get a conversation going. He might actually want to get back into contact with you after stopping, and this just seemed like a good time. Whatever the reason is, you definitely have crossed his mind and he definitely thought of you. 😏

I see! It sounds like he might just be doing it to be nice then. He probably chose your new job post as a way to reply to you because this was the only one out of your posts that he could think of a response to. But he might still be interested in reconnecting with you and otherwise he would not have thought to respond to your post in the first place. It might blossom into something if you keep in touch. :)
