We made eye contact and I made it worse, do I leave this alone?

I was at the gym, working a machine, when a cute girl came over and started using it when I walked away. I came back and said I got one more. She was like " ok... No problem." Smiling a lot and what not. Then later I went to the bicycles for cardio. And there are stairs that lead up to where the bikes are. 9/10 times people that come up do not look at me or maybe glance at me. I bike right at the stairs, I felt someone coming up the stairs and she was staring right at me walking up. I made eye contact and quickly looked away, she quickly looked away, then I quickly looked at her again she quickly looked at me again. Then I awkwardly said " hi" and went back to my phone. She went to a machine for 1 min then went downstairs to another treadmill for 2 mins, then talked to someone for like 30 secs then walked out. How would you analyze her behavior? And how do I proceed with this now going back to the gym? Thanks for advice

I don't think you made it worse. I do think you're over thinking it. Just continue going to the gym like usual and don't worry about her. There's plenty of cute girls so don't sweat her!
