Guys, are women with low self-esteem unattractive?

Guys do you think that someone with low self-esteem is a complete waist of time, even when they are attractive...beautiful...so on?

Not a waste of time or anything harsh like that, but just annoying, clingy, and not attractive to me. It's a big turn off/buzz kill to have a girl that you constantly have to be reassuring, constantly have to be checking in with, constantly have around like she's attached to your hip, or whatever her issue might be. I'm not interested in being someone's father or caretaker, I want a girlfriend. Someone who is independent, which is the reason why I'm interested to get to know them in the first place- they have a unique personality that I want to get to know more and see what they're all about.

They become uninteresting when they would rather do everything that I want to do, think how I think, and basically agree with me all the time rather than show who THEY are. It's almost like they become two-dimensional and seem plain when they refuse to show their true selves because of some insecurity or self-esteem issue.

So I don't hate girls or anything like that, I just don't feel attracted to them when they are co-dependent on me.

I don't want to say yes, but the sad truth is that her insecurities would manifest themselves in other ways that would create a lot of drama in our relationship. And that's a big no-no for me. I'm tired of drama and I just don't have the patience for it anymore.

girls that have low self esteem are VERY VERY easy to manipulate and take advantage of. if that's u, I suggest you improve your self esteem and start loving yourself before you even think about dating guys! its a turn off to most decent guys because nobody wants to be babysitting their fragile emotions and constantly reassure you. but assholes prey on girls like this because you're easy targets. girls like this end up getting used and abused. if you think that you will find a great guy who is a savior and will sweep you off your feet and treat you right you will have a rude awakening, most guys that I know who play girls and dog them out ALWAYS look for girls with low self esteem because they are the ones who need approval and validation from an outside source, so they use that to their advantage.

oh OK I'm glad its not u! everyone has those low self esteem days but as long as you don't let it rule your life then its OK :)

It depends on the guy: some people will work with it, some people only care about looks and could give less of a shit... and there are others (like me) who couldn't be with somebody that didn't love and value themselves. Mind you, I'm not a guy, but I know many guys who feel the same. It's an uphill battle of having to reassure somebody and coddle them to make them feel somewhat worth it.

I think if its not that low then most guys don't see that as an issue :D as long as its not at an extreme level the its OK :)
