It depends on the situation. I have encountered many women who breast feed in public and, as long as they are respctful, it's not a problem.
However, I have also encountered disrespectful women breastfeeding in public, and that is a problem.
What do I mean by "disrespectful"? To be blunt, they are using breast feeding as an excuse to expose themelves in public. I know people consider this in bad taste but I am going to equate this to peeing since these are both natural things people do in public.
So, for example, you go into the bathroom and what do you do? You find a stall/urinal, enter it, ensure privacy, disrobe and handle your business. Everyone does it.
But what if you encountered a person who enters the bathroom and immediately pulls down their pants/lifts their skirt/dress and drops their underwear exposing themselves to everyone who may look that way? If someone protests they say, "We're in a bathroom. If you don't want to see it, just don't look." Or, they get indignat and offended if uou do look, telling you not mind you business or calling you a perv and such. Or, worse, you have a guy who whips it out on the way to the bathroom before going in. I'm sure most people would be uncomfortable with that situation.
What's my point? In the bathroom, we all know what is going on. I'm sure you could visualize if you try, not that most people would, because we respect each others privacy. And we don't usually go around exposing our sex organs to each other without consent either. Yet, there is a some women out there who don't want to adhere to that. They are the guy who whips it out exposing themselves to everyone and then making a fuss when called out about it.
Annecdotr, I was in a coffe shop enjoying my drink minding my business when a couple and a baby sit at a table directly in front of me. The wife sat facing towards me with no barrier. The guy walked of to order. During that time, she picks up her baby, places it on the table, looks around (clearly seeing me by the way), and proceeds to open her shirt and lift her bra exposing her bare breast. Around 20-30 seconds go by before she picks up the baby to latch. At no time did she attempt to cover herself, and 30 sec is a long time.
It was extremely uncomfortable. What do I do? Look or nah? Should I, who was seated and positioned first, be forced to avert my eyes and twist my body because she decided to feed inside the cafe instead of in her car before hand, because she didn't have a feeding cover or couldn't be bothered to excuse herself to a more private location. Would it be wrong to look? What if the husband saw? What if she saw me looking and decided to make a scene? And it wasn't once, because she did the other side the same way, at on point having both of her breasts exposed. I don't know her and had no desire to see her breast, though I must admit after the fact that they were well formed, it doesn't change things. It would create a double standard since it doesn't change that fact that a guy exposing himself unsolicited is still an unwanted act even if he's XL. You didn't want to see it before, being impressed after the fact doesn't make it right.
So. Breastfeeding in public is perfectly fine as long as the mother is being respectful to the people around her. She is not responsible for their overactive imagination causing them discomfort. However, unwanted exposure is disrespectful and not okay.
It is natural and there is nothing wrong with it. So is having sex. However, some things the public doesn't need to see. People are still no more than a troop of monkeys, really. No one has evolved to "Let's get naked and see nothing!". These women wouldn't do it on an unoccupied train while gang members are getting onboard. If you follow the news, you've heard about a woman getting raped on a crowded train in New Jersey. These mothers take for granted that our country's social boundaries will always be respected while they expose themselves. If I foolishly nursed my child in public, I would be concerned for the safety of my child and for my own safety. People are streaming into this country from around the planet and they will not always hold feminist viewpoints. Mark my words. Keep it up and nut job will take this behavior as an invitation.
It's natural,
a baby has to feed and a mother has to provide,
i honestly dont see how this makes people so uncomfortable as its an essential part of life.
If anything, it's a turn on, TBH for me.
@ the end of the day, it's babys call not the mothers as to where and when it gets fed, baby doesn't know any better where it drinks the milk from, it doesn't care, it just wants to feed, the mother doesn't get a say in the matter, she has to do what baby wants.
And that's the bottom line.
I think it should be normalized. Nipples are nipples. Exposing men's means nothing, so why are women's nipples so taboo? It makes zero sense. In my opinion, it's absurd. If anything, men's nips are useless and exposing them in public is entirely unnecessary. Women's at least serve a purpose. Yet they are considered indecent and must be covered, but not men's? It's ridiculous. Change my mind.
Great answer
Female body parts are sexualized. Women being nude everywhere would mean lots of male erections, and lots of inappropriate behavior or gestures from men. And no, you don't get to say sh*t because that would be the society you asked for. Not to mention, human sexuality isn't a choice, so you can't just tell me to become gay or asexual all of a sudden. If that is an okay premise to you, you might as well ask for all of society to be nudists and exhibitionists' as well.
You don't get to control society just because you "feel" like something should be the way it is. Society is based on what is best for everyone, not just what is best for BirdieBeep. The whole premise of your argument is extremely selfish.
Nope. I fed my babies in public literally thousands of times. There were a few occasions that I was scoffed at, but that's their problem. I never made my babies eat in the bathroom or under a blanket. Women in low cut tops show more breast that what could be seen around my baby's face.
yeah ain't that the truth, women in low cut tops do show off more boobs

This question jogged my memory a bit. An old story my mother told me about a time a few months after I was born. My father was in the Army in 1958 when I was born. I am the baby of three children and have two older sisters. My mother had to ride a bus for almost 4 hours during the summer of 1958. here she is with a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old daughter and a newborn son riding on a bus. My mother told me an older lady tapped her on the shoulder and offered to change places while she breastfed me. Then later my father met us and took us home. I have actually been in business meetings with breastfeeding mothers. These girls work in demanding fields and have the knowledge I need to make decisions, so when life happens we all make adjustments! I'm a bit of the opinion people should be as modest as the situation requires. With that said a woman's nipples are not something that is obscene and to make it so is just stupid IMHO. If you see a nursing mom why don't you just show her some damn respect and avert your gaze!
Absolutely not.
Although, I do feel weird and awkward just because I know a lot of people will look, stare, judge, etc.
So, I feel more embarrassed for the woman doing the breastfeeding just because you can anticipate people’s reactions especially if it’s a rather public place.
yes. like its beautiful and i understand the baby needs it, but you mostly have something to cover with. like a blanket or something, like I as a woman, wouldn't be comfortable feeding my baby in public without covering
also it feels like that person lacks morals
Uncomfortable? No.
I do think it's a matter of courtesy to do it a bit "hidden", though. For example if you are in a restaurant, take a seat that's a bit in the corner. Not everyone wants to see someone elses boobs and while the necessity for the baby is obvious, one should still be respectful of the people around.
Because not everyone wants to see a strangers breasts. Living in a society means that you also have to consider other people. And being more decent - if possible - about breastfeeding really isn't a big demand.
Not uncomfortable at all, but then I come from a family where breast feeding is the norm not the exception it has come to be in the 1st world countries because of 'formula' feeding than has been pushed by the medical profession at the behest of the companies that make 'formula' feeds, which have their place as a means of supplementary feeding.
Absolutely not and I do not belief a cover is required either - like many. If the mother & most important baby is comfortable with it - then sure.
Breastfeeding in public isn't looked down on & honestly I'm more comfortable about a mother feeding her child, than all the sweaty man books I've to endure every summer. 😂
I used to go to the bathroom to feed my daughter.. I wish someone would have told me, who cares. Feed your kid in public. It was the most uncomfortable feeling ever.. being out in public and when it's feeding time, I have to go hide.
as a kid I used to be stupid about it and giggle. Then mind my business. The placing a blanket over themselves always helps. Since I mean whipping a bare breast out in public is naturally going to call attention whether its the gender you're attracted to or not.
As an adult, I would acknowledge it for a quick second and go on about my business and simply pray they put a blanket over themselves to stave off perverted eyes. Especially in these pandem times.
I live in a conservative country, India, however, woman feeding her infant by hiking up the blouse and covering the infant and her breasts by the loose end (drape) of sari or thin shawl is very common. Infants being infants can get hungry and to deprive him or her of food (milk) is not a good thing to do. Men generally ignore the sight. If someone does leer, it's seen as socially very offensive and can get the person thrashed as it's seen both an affront to motherhood, and infant rights.
My mother still breast-feeds my little sister she’s seven and she does it in public. There is nothing wrong with breast-feeding in public
@Apple1996 Started our children on: milk with thin cream of wheat around 1 month; strained baby food around 3 months followed by soft chunky baby food and other soft food; phased in regular foods between 6 months to 1 year; all regular food by 1 year.
@Mac-One that isn't how it is anymore. Feeding babies too early is dangerous to their guts. Doctors say cereal is fine as 5 months, purres at 6-12 if the parent choose to.. With my babies I didn't even give them purred food till 8-9 months and they hated it so waited even longer to give them food about 12 months they just started eating a little and about 2 weaned off breastfeeding/milk and ate real food
@Apple1996 It is up to the parents to make children aware of the difference, they don't know the difference if parents don't make them aware. Most children will actually prefer using the toilet once they are aware of the difference.
Yes uncomfortable because her boob is outside for the whole world to see...
The husband must cover the boob of his wife or do what it takes to make it unseen...
A woman who wants to breastfeed should do it in a private area but if she was forced to in public than she must do it in a way where her boobs cannot be seen by others...
Personally if i saw someone doing it like this woman in the picture, it will make me uncomfortable and i won't even look cause of she's impolite and lacks of morals than i'm not!
If you and you're husband are okay with it than good for you...
Personally i don't support such acts because a woman's boobs are a private sexual part! Should be hidden!
I don't even know how you're comfortable popping you're boob outside in the public in front of strangers
@Imcmullan is this you're lame excuse to be a h*e in public? I'm a grown up but i bet that you aren't, BLOCKED!
I saw a neighbor breast feeding her baby while walking around the neighbor hood with her husband. She did not expose nearly any of her breast and was not bothered by it when they stopped to talk with us. However, I was a little uncomfortable and avoided staring.
It has been done for eons It is a natural function of life. Why does one have to hide it? Are you one of the one it offends? If so, look away. OR are one of the few that were unable to breast feed and take it out on everyone or just an angry man who thinks it is not right and thinks their opinion should be law. GET A LIFE!
I don't know who complains about it, it's always brought up but I don't know one person who thinks it's uncomfortable, it's starting to look like a narrative to make more women do this in public so people can watch more boobies
What is it about breastfeeding that bothers me exactly? If they did tell of course
its feeding a baby and a boob. jesus christ some folks need to get a grip.
I completely agree with your statement
No absolutely not, it's the most natural and normal thing for any new mother to do.
That's what I said, it's a natural thing
No problem, we are all different, you too take care and stay safe!
Not at all. My wife and I make sure to tell any of our friends that nurse that they don't have to cover up or leave the room on our account, and my wife openly breast fed around friends and family and sometimes in public as well.
No its not uncomfortable for me.
But the women in the photo should be using a blanket to cover up. Its just common courtesy. I don't need to hear it from the fems out there screaming about its how natural... blah, blah, blah!
I mean there's nothing wrong with a little discretion and modesty... some people just don't would to see your ugly ass nipple or exposed milk sack with suckling pup hanging off it.
The 16% who voted yes are mentally retarded. It is quite literally their only purpose. Get over yourselves and just don't look if you don't like it. In fact, don't look regardless of your opinion
The ideal situation is that nobody can see it but we live in a world where what is best for people is not necessarily what is most desired - the health of the baby is more important than all other concerns so I will not blame a breast feeding mother for what she does.
No. I think in Europe it is way more normal than in america. When you also breastfed your baby, your baby covers your nipple. So nipple can't be the problem, otherwise cleavage should make people uncomfortable too. Babys also have tiny tummys and so get hungry very fast and this means feeding them at home before going out dont solve the "problem". Some babys can't stand blankets and so i think feeding the baby is more important than people who get uncomfortable
I do not mind. Everyone has to eat. Your baby is cute by the way.
Nope
it’s natural, normal, pretty much everyone has been there with their mouth on a boob having some food.
It really is a non event.
Yes. I consider it to be rude, disgusting, and disrespectful to those around you. There's millions of mothers out there and they don't need to take their tits out in public with the excuse "I have a baby, so that means I get to do whatever I want." Screw selfish assholes like this. Imagine if I could get away with doing whatever I want, or taking a sh*t in public on the sidewalk or something, and just go "Well, I have a baby, so I get to do what I want."
I get that going in public means you will be exposed to certain things but I personally think I don't have the right to decide what other people's children are exposed to. I feel the same way about cursing in public by children. I personally don't have an issue with public breastfeeding but wouldn't do it for that reason.
Like I stated above it doesn't bother me but I know it does others. Different people feel differently about different situations. That is why I gave cursing in front of children as an example. I don't care if someone says a bad word in front of my child but I know others do so I don't curse in public by children. I just try to be respectful in a public area because I am just as entitled to the area as anyone else. Just because you and I don't have an issue exposing a breast to feed a child doesn't mean everyone feels the same way.
No it’s completely normal, they need to feed their baby
Mother feeds her child which is its natural requirement. I can't understand why should anyone gets uncomfortable?
While most- including my daughter- would use a wrap make for the purpose, I still wouldn't feel uncomfortable with her. Might even give her a coupon for a complimentary massage.
breastfeeding in a restaurant is extreme. any NORMAL human being would think, is it actually neccisary to pull my boob out with my swolen leaking nipples infront of people eating to feed my infant, probably not, but omg meeennnn can have their shirts off, but oddly enough i NEVER in my 24 years have EVER seen a shirtless man eating in a restaurant, infact, have you heard the phrase no shoes no shirt no service? yeah, that means men too can't be shirtless in most business establishments, ESPECIALLY a restaurant, now if it was a train, a library, a plane, me personally, i wouldn't care, but a restaurant? id prefer not seeing either genders nipples while im eating thank you.
It depends if the woman is being really discreet about it or if she's exposing herself too much.
@MCheetah You're living in a bygone United States. Come out from under your rock and pay attention to the stone age people being flown into this country and being allowed to invade by the tens of thousands at our southern border by the Poser-in-Chief. These people like their women all covered up... Shit is bound to happen; sooner or later. Women exposing themselves in public in today's America are putting both their child and themselves in terrible danger. Are you paying attention to the news? A woman was raped on a crowded commuter train in New Jersey. Y'all are living on Fantasy Island with these stupid beliefs and setting people up to get attacked. smdh
@Gigi2019
Well, I don't currently live in the US at this time, but yeah, after the draconian COVID mandates, the Summer of 2020 BLM riots, and CHOP/CHAZ having a literal Mad Max situation going on, while those in power try to "defund the police" and institute martial law so they can literally have The Purge in real life, nothing surprises me anymore.
The thing is, most human beings are stupid and sheep. They will act stupidly and without critical thought or reason. I've always known that. However, some things even surprise me. I never thought people would give up their personal safety at the expense of following orders from their government masters, like with the vax mandates and allowing for open borders and all. Or how they basically made shoplifting legal in California. That literally puts people's own lives at risk and they just openly allow it to happen. If they're Liberal, they welcome the danger with open arms. That's insanity to me! I never thought the average human being could be THIS stupid.
But yeah, people being selfish assholes and without shame also seems to be the norm. Like being topless/half-naked in public and thinking *everyone else* is the problem, if they don't like it.
Breastfeeding is a beautiful thing. The baby has to eat and what better way than nature's way to do that?
How could something so natural and necessity (inb4 someone says sex is natural, why not fuck in public) make you uncomfortable?
Why should a woman feeding her child make me uncomfortable?
It is natural. There is no reason to be uncomfortable
I don’t care I just don’t look but when I have my baby I would feel uncomfortable myself doing it in public.
Exactly. These women wouldn't do it on an unoccupied train when gang members are getting onboard. These mothers take for granted that social boundaries will be respected while they expose themselves. If I wantonly nursed my child in public, I would be concerned about the safety of my child and my own safety. The people streaming into the U. S. today will not always hold feminist viewpoints.
@Gigi2019
THANK YOU! I'm so sick of these sh*tty feminist viewpoints that says "I'm a woman/mother, so I supersede everyone else in society, social respect be damned!" If a guy can't just openly piss on a train, which is also "a natural bodily function," then why should a mother get to walk around topless, with the implication EVERYONE ELSE is supposed to turn away, walk away, or inconvience themselves, and that she should get to do whatever the hell she wants just because she has a baby? As if lots of mothers don't have have children? As if a feeding curtain isn't a thing? As if she can't just go into a women's restroom to do that for her child? As if baby bottles and breast pumps aren't a thing? Everyone nowadays has an excuse to be selfish disrespectful assholes, and it's usually the feminists doing this the most.
No. Not at all!
In fact, I feel happy that mothers like them are there. The guts!!!
I've seen it a few times. It's not a big deal. The baby's gotta eat. If Mama doesn't want to cover up that's her choice. I'm not going to be creepy and stare.
Sometimes especially if I am really close to her Andi can see her breast hanging out. I just try to remember it's normal so then I get less uncomfortable.
It's the law you are not disturb a breastfeeding female. Every state has a law about this.
i know it's natural but I've never come across this situation so it would
no its natural
best is when she does it in restaurant when she is eating its like the whole family is enjoying a meal together like they should do
I wouldn't uncomfortable at all and neither would i stare at woman breastfeeding and make her uncomfortable, i dont understand why do people make fuss out of it
Not at all! Why should it? That's partly why she has them.
it depends, some women are good about like say turning their body to kinda hide it or maybe doing it in an aisle or place that isn’t particularly crowded and that’s totally chill. Then there’s this breed of smug women that do it overtly out in the open with this energy that’s like i’m a mom and i don’t care if i’m making you uncomfortable this is my life and i find that extremely annoying tbh 😂
no not at all. it's a necessity and if baby need food then baby needs food. but on the flip side not everyone wants to see her boobs.
I love to see it I try not to watch but i think it's the start of life and by far the best thing in life
It's interesting how many women claim to not have a problem doing so until they are recorded by someone nearby. These recordings are then shared on areas of voyeuristic websites.
She is feeding her baby and she has every right to do it in the open and we need to make her feel comfortable with the situation as it's as normal as normal can get.
It’s odd to see, only cause it really isn’t normalized yet and not something you see everyday being out and about but I wouldn’t say it makes me uncomfortable
I am not a prudish religious nut so nope
I have other stuff to care about
Not really. Regardless, all women will cover up the best they can.
Breastfeeding is normal and natural ,
i my self even breastfeed in public openly
no, she just has to feed her baby. don't make it weird.
It is natural and there is nothing wrong with it. So is having sex. Some things the public doesn't need to see. People are no more than a troop of monkeys, really. No one has evolved to let's get naked and see nothing. These women wouldn't do it on an unoccupied train when gang members are getting onboard. If you follow the news, you've heard about a woman getting raped on a crowded train in New Jersey. Not at all as they’re just taking care of their child.
Nah. It’s not like you can just tell a screaming infant to wait 45 minutes to eat.
No it don't make me but it might make her old Man uncomfortable in if she is in front of another Man.
God Bless
No I love to watch.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
No. It’s different, so I might glance once. But that’s not a fetish thing. I swear!
No, why? It's completely normal. Baby has to eat something.
No.
Women exposing themselves for sexual attention is wrong, women using their tits for their intended purpose is fine.
