Have done it both ways in the past. However, for over 21 years now I have peed either sitting or squatting. Find that to be much more pleasant and convenient even though it takes a little longer.

Well i would say a lot of people pull down their pants a bit because 1. its hard to pull out your penis when the zipper is retarded and 2. because no one wants to mess up and pee on/in their pants and be stuck for the rest of the day like that

Sometimes I do both, Dress pants I use the zipper but jeans usually I pull them down a little and pee over the top.
