Stay-at-home women, or homemakers, just don’t want to get a job, right?

It's a choice. In some cases it's a very practical choice. My wife is not working. She could if she wanted to, but I am well paid so the marginal tax rate on her income (income tax, social security, and medicare) would be over 40%. If she was paid $30/hour, she would net about $18. Then we would still have to do or hire someone to do what she is taking care of now -- shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc. reducing our leisure time. If there was something she really wanted to do, I wouldn't care how much she was paid. But there's no reason for her to take a job she won't enjoy.

Im sure some women are like that but for others its just what seems best for their relationship like if they have kids and the other partner can afford that kind of lifestyle.

A lot of women from previous generation just never had the same opportunities the women from out generation had.

Other than that... being a home maker is just as much a job as any other job and people who take care of other people's children and wash other people's clothes and clean other people's houses and cook for other people get paid for...

So why are you complaining when some of the women are willing to do all of that for free all just in return of love, food and lodging.

I was raised from a stay at home mom
I’m always told I’m so nice , kind , sweet like an angel , so educated , so feminine … so caring ! I’m the best , lovely , big heart , calm like an ocean etc
And trust me this is because I was raised FULL TIME AS A JOB FROM A HOUSEWIFE

I have a career but once I give birth I will be a stay at home mom until my kid reaches AT LEAST A4-5 years old!!

Staying home can be a whole job on its own! Especially with a family. Housework has always been divided that way so how is it fair to expect two working people to do as well of a job. There's nothing wrong with staying home or working for either gender! Stay at home dad's are becoming more prominent as well.

Not necessarily... The 40 hr week was designed with the idea that someone would be at home taking care of the household chores. Whether that's a maid or one of the couple. Working full time and doing all the house work is really fucking hard.

There's nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home woman. If her partner is okay with it, I see nothing wrong with it. If she's a stay-at-home mom, then still, there's nothing wrong with it as long as her partner is fine with it.

Women choose to be housewives because they don't want to work, in addition to the fact that the husband pays for everything they consume. That is why, real men, we must reject traditionalism and stop keeping women.

They have a lot of responsibility as a homemaker a cook a housemaid taking the kids to school and other activities paying the bills etc. etc. organized the finances
