No. It comes from the assumption that women don't know what men are talking about and an explanation is required.

Not that we don't want to listen or communicate. It is a belief that women lack the knowledge on whatever subject is being talked about.

And wouldn't they, women don't share the same interest as men. Like a lot of physical labour stuff is don't by men. Even car stuff women don't really care about as much as men so why wouldn't you want a guy to explain it. If you explain make up to me I'm not gonna get triggered.

Ummm no. Mansplaining is when men try to explain things they’re not qualified to explain. Like when men try to tell women how they should feel about literally anything involving pregnancy/birth/periods/abortion/breastfeeding/etc etc we have experiences that you can never and will never understand, sometimes there is nothing to discuss you just need to stay in your lane.

Lol ok so everyone just gave a different definition of what man splaining is, which let me know these words that women use don't have any intention but to bring shame. It's all based on how you feel. If a guys is explaining something and you feel he shouldn't be explaining it then you create word to shame him thus the word mansplaining was born.
