So I began talking to this girl about 6 months ago. We hit it off immediately and have been best friends ever since, we’ll talk every single day for hours about whatever random things we feel like it. From deep personal life stuff to dumb inside jokes and puns. We’ve become very very close friends, but I’ve always had hidden feelings. She thinks she’s flawed, but I think she’s perfect. Yesterday I told her how I felt after months of keeping it a secret and she was appalled, as she said she’s never suspected I ever liked her and or ever even thought of us together before, and says she doesn’t feel the same way. I was always afraid of telling her because I never wanted her out of my life, even if that meant being content with just being her friend. It’s only been a day and we haven’t spoken but it has felt like a lifetime of silence.
Is it possible to go back to how it was? Can we ever go back to the constant back and forth or have I accidentally ended our close friendship? I wish I knew what she was thinking about me. Please give me your insight.
