Yeah, it’s complicated lol. In quiet roads I’d feel safer with a guy friend or any other extra person because groups are greater threats than a lone person. Just because my guy friend is with me, doesn’t mean he’ll try and protect me 😆 we’ll both run if we have to. Another friend may be so set to protect, when he really should be running and protection isn’t necessary or going to benefit. I’d need a smart guy friend, who was tuned with me. Public places at night aren’t bad for walking alone- like New York, especially in decent or high end places.
Do you find guy friends to be more protective than girl friends? Do you like that?
Good question. My lady friends are more the type to shout, run, and when they feel a safe distance away, look back to see if I’m okay. If I’m down they may call police or run back to help me, understanding I’m their friend and if they think they can help, they will. My guys friends are only protective if they think I can’t handle myself. I’m usually independent and tough with them, or nature and sports-like so they may run and look back too. If one of them had an attraction to me, or thought I was weak or clumsy, then they’d be more set on protecting me. Especially, if that’s just how they grew up- to look after their friends. Do I like protective guys and protective friends? Yes I do, but I also care about their safety, so I prefer a team effort response to get away or diffuse a threat, then them dying and “taking a serious one for the team.”
Interesting. Thanks for the detailed answer.
I feel safer with anyone walking with me at night.
Honestly yes. Lol
