Girls, are you more comfortable with a guy approaching you when you're with one of your female friends, or when you're not with a friend?

Specifically I mean if A guy walked up to you, introduced himself, and gave you a compliment, and started a cordial conversation, asking for your number after.

I don't include guy friends here, because I assume if a girl and a guy are walking/sitting together that they're dating and that I shouldn't approach.

I feel more comfortable with a guy approaching me when I'm with one of my female friends.

I'm more comfortable with a guy approaching me when I'm not with one of my friends.

I feel equally comfortable in both situations.

I know that most girls will want it to happen with one of their friends around, so they have an easy out if they aren't immediately attracted to the guy, but it's so hard for a guy to get her attention or really approach if there's a big group there. It sucks. We want her to be alone so we can actually talk to her. Sigh.

Yes, more comfortable when I'm with friends but it happens more when I'm alone. It's easier to get my attention when I'm alone.

It's less pressure to approach a girl when she's alone.

Getting the judgmental side-eye look from her friend is just such a punch in the gut. A very powerful deterrent.
