Nope, not at all. I am there to work out and not socialize. It isn’t a club or somewhere most people want to be social or even bothered.

I hate getting hit on at the gym. It makes for an awkward situation then after as I try to avoid the guy that couldn’t take the hint. It is also quite presumptuous that guys that hit on me think I am single.

I am not. I’m happily engaged and that is just another reason why it is annoying. I’ve even had guys do it while I was there with my fiancé.

Best leave the flirting and advances to more appropriate settings. The gym is the very last place girls want to be hassled. Look at it from our view. We just want to get our workout in, we are sweaty and feel gross, and we are certainly not looking our best.

I usually throw my hair up in a messy bun. I don’t wear makeup that is just going to run all over my face. The gym is get in, work out, go home with minimal hassle.

Now there are plenty of dimbos - typically the ones dressed very skimpy, making too much of a scene doing exercise (e. g. selfies, huffing & puffing, etc.) at gyms.

These are the female version of the meatheaded self-important roosters (men) that bounce weights, grunt & groan like a pig in heat lifting, etc.

Desperate for the attention of the opposite sex. And there's a reason for that - they're not really there to work out, they see the gym as another bar, club or hookup spot.

Now if a guy wanted to randomly talk about improving my style on say the rowing machine or something then I would be interested.

But still don't think you'll get my number.

People pay to be there. Usually because they can’t afford or have space for all the equipment they enjoy using. Is it a gathering spot of healthy and attractive people? Yes.

Are they all their to date? No. It’s better to approach in a grocery store than a gym. Especially if people are avoiding eye contact.

You see so many question in here “he/she was making these moves in the gym… right in front of me!! Did they want me to ask then out?” No. They didn’t they paid for that moment they were working out in.
