Why am I so unsure about my feelings?

There's a guy who likes me and I just stare at him and act like as if I like him too but at times I am like "nah he isn't my type. I got better crushes". I mean I'm so unsure of my feelings that I'm afraid that I'll make him feel like I am interested in him but in the end I'll end up breaking his heart which I don't want. If I don't like him then why can't I just get over him? Why do I still think about him but I am also like "eww not him he's so opposite of me. I hate when he do that" type of things

It seems your only reason for even associating with this person is a fall back crush Incase your others don't work out. I've been that guy my whole life and it hurts a lot. Leave this man a lone until you can figure out your feelings or else you're just gonna keep hurting people
