How to would you know if a girl wants you to hug her?

How many of you had gotten a "hint" of her wanting you to hug her without saying it?

If you had a similar experience, what was the result?

Context:

I know 2 girls that seemed that they wanted me to hug them because they intentionally got in the way on the exact moment I was reaching out for something to grab (and it wasn't to grab her) while she was looking directly at me in the process.
