If a girl treats me differently than everybody else?

Differently as in she is a lot quieter and seems nervous and is kinda mean to me and at the same time she'll tease me playfully when she gets a chance. I've asked her if she dislikes me (because sometimes I get that feeling) and she says no. I've tried stop talking to her and she'll initiate conversations. When she says mean things, she won't look at me when she says them but after the fact she'll look into my eyes and then kinda give me this sarcastic smile/scoff and say "what?" Or "im sorry". Does she dislike me or what?

i asked her if she disliked me and she said "i don't dislike you" and then kind of under her breath "its the opposite" or at least that's what I heard, but by her attitude sometimes, its like she likes everybody else but me, even my friends ask me jokingly "what did you do to her?" and if I try to have just a regular conversation she'll overanalyze everything. Like if I say I'm taking a class she'll say "why are you taking that? Why don't you take something else" instead of her usual "good for u"

The thing that bothers me is that smile after she says something bitchy. For me, it comes off like saying "yes, I said that to you, I'm a jerk, deal with it" but she never does it to anybody else, at least to that extent. Some friend will hear her and I'll have this "i can't believe she said that" face and they'll say "oh cmon, she loves you" I guess I don't see it.

Yeah, like everyone else wrote, she likes you, and at this point you realize that as well. Its the shy way of dealing with her feelings, which mean she isn't going to ever bring it up. If you want the weirdness to end you need to ask her "do you like me" not "do you dislike me." GOOD LUCK!

This sounds like how I *think* I come off to guys I like... If she's like me, she likes you. She's just a little bit shy and is trying her best to be flirty and out there, but also isn't the best at being out there. If you like her, try flirting back. :)

Well, lets say we didn't see each other in the weekend. I'll go up to her and ask her "did you miss me?" She'll go "no" while messing with her phone and then look at me and if I'm still looking she'll do that smile. Its like she always looks at my reaction when she says something mean. One time there was a pole between us (we were walking) and she said something, I stopped and she kept leaning over the pole to look at me until I looked at her then looked away.

I still think it could be her awkwardly trying to flirt. I know whenever I try to tease or pretend to get annoyed guys always take it as me trying to be mean or actually being really bothered. What usually ends up working, is if they say "ow" or something similar, I'll say "oh, just joking" or give him a big smile. I really feel like that is what she might be doing...

Yeah, it could be. Like I said, she never gets like that with anybody else. She is a shy girl but when I see her interacting with people she smiles and is chatty. When I talk to her is like she puts up this shield and gets very sarcastic and mean and likes to argue with me and like today I was explaining something to a friend and she just went "nobody likes a show off" while with others she'll say "oh you are so smart" or something

I think she likes you, but is afraid of how you would react to it. Some girls show guys that they like them by being mean to them but not actually tell them they like you. You should try to ask her if she likes you or not.
