Why do women ditch their friends for the guys they are dating?

I’ve seen this so many times and it’s so sad. Women will drop friends they’ve had for decades over men that they’ve only known for a few months who also treat them like dirt

I’ve experienced this & it all came out at a New Years Eve party. Everyones having a good time when my girlfriend friend suddenly complained about her always hanging out with me. It escalated and the two started yelling at each other.

We stepped outside to let them sort their shit out. Then someone mentioned it was getting worse. We returned they were almost fighting. Her friend started drunkenly ranting in my face.

Thing is her boyfriend told everyone he had to leave for work earlier but he confided in me he was actually going to the neighbouring city to be with his OTHER girlfriend. I just laughed in her face.

Suddenly this guy who was supposedly his best friend starts crying. We’re all like wtf now. He blurts out that he can’t take it anymore and blabs about her boyfriend cheating and how he really likes her 🤷‍♂️

At that point I said well Happy New Year !

This happened to me, a girl I knew my whole life got super excited when she met a guy, suddenly she didn't need me anymore. He dumped her 6 months later, she ruined a friendship and her self respect for nothing. I don't talk to her anymore even though she has tried with me. Oh well, you live and learn.
