Some recommend under 35 for fertility in women. But I ask it as a general question...
+1 yI've had 1 friend and he was always early in life at what ever he did. His mom and dad were only 37-38 when he was 20 himself so might explain the mentality.
Him and his wife found each other in highschool at an age of 13 and they hung on to each other until they got married in their 20s. They had kids young too (she was 18 he was 19)
As far as I know these two warriors are still a couple. And they are in my age (35ish) today. Which means their oldest son is around 14-16.
This is the only exception I know personally that has a happy ending
All others I know got married in their 25-30s and are all divorced, found new relationships to date
I'd prefer 30s but I really wouldn't want to pressure anyone to an age span.
And no let's be sensible, I don't wanna hear about people being married at the age of 12. That's disgusting and their parents should be ashamed of everything they stand for.10 Reply

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yThere is no ideal age, but I think a lot of women these days fail to take advantage of the power they have in dating during their 20s and end up finding it much harder than they thought they would by the time they decide to settle down.

+1 yThere shouldn't be an ideal age.
Fertility declining with age is not a reason to rush into marriage by a certain age. First off not everyone wants children, but there are also various options available for anyone who wishes to have children. Whether or not you want children education about reproductive health from a young age helps everyone.

+1 yNo, there shouldn't be. No rule should dictate when you should get married. It's all cultural anyway.
Back in ancient Jewish culture, you were a man at 13 and could get married as soon as your parents found you a wife.
Marriage has changed A LOT culturally, and setting an expected age for marriage only makes it more stressful.10 Reply

+1 yI think that once you start worrying about “ideals” you stop looking at love and relationship’s and for us too much on what ought to be or what is expected.
Just don’t worry about it!

+1 yI think the ideal age for both genders should be somewhere in their early to 20s to mid 20s. That's when both sexes are in their prime and have the most energy to raise a child together.

good point about fertility. male dperm declined as well as its changes of creating children with mental and physical deformities decreases with age. so if a woman wants healthy children her best changes are to procreate at a younger age with a man of a younger age. any other pairing decreases that possibility immensely.

@sassy_receptor well that and guys seem to think this age only effects the women. Sure many men can have children later in life but most men are not looking to have a baby in their 50s to 60s. Even my dad was like heck no to that idea, at that age they don't have the energy or stamina to keep up with a baby let alone a toddler.. unless they really take care of themselves. But marry a man that 15, 20, + years old leaves a woman in position of becoming a widow/single mother or care taker who has to look after her baby and husband cause his health is declining. That's just the truth, men's health decline around these ages rapidly, if you are young woman I woman I wouldn't sign up for that. If he's really up their age, there's a chance won't see his kid have kids. I should know, I work in hospital.. men start falling apart healthwise as they get older. Now think of sickly, elderly husband with a baby/toddler.. it's going to be hard.

you are 100% right. that’s why i don’t even consider old men as apart of my dating pool and really date within a year or two of my own age. there are just too many things that make the age gap offputting. im looking for a partner to build with, not a roommate to take care of.
great analysis

+1 yWhenever they're ready. I hate to ruin your fun but marriage should be more than child bearing and shi, and if you don't feel that way, you shouldn't be married.
20 Reply No marriage at all if the girl is independent financially earning well she can takecare of herself but if she doesn't have any other options also isn't eating then between 22 to 25 as men prefer younger girls for marriage

People only need money and being independent is enough? No relationship, , no sex , no love n romanc , no family needed in life?
- +1 y
Love? I see plenty of married people having extra marital affair and sex gets boring for some after a while with their partner so want to have it outside the marriage heavy demand of dowry and girls are expected to work outside and work at home as well and please everybody i am talking about few traditional countries not the westernized ones

So you prefer being in sexual and romantic relationship... but no marriage and kids?
- +1 y
You don't have a family or any romantic or sexual relationship but you do live with a full fledged family of others?
- +1 y
Family of others? Happens in your culture not in us we are indians we values and respect our family our culture our heritage is very rich this conversation will take another turn here so all i will say is that you and i come from different cultures and society so it's going to be different for both of us

You said you live in a big family and you are lonely. So it sounded as if you don't have a family of yours but you live in a hoise that has a big family that isn't yours
- +1 y
If you feel that you have a big family of your own... earn well... and that's why you don't " feel need" to have marriage/ romantic relationship or sexual relationship at all ever... since you are doing well anyway
Then this isn't going to be forever. You are 27 only as per your profile.
Parents aren't going to be with anyone forever , siblings will get married & have their own world/family/life.
After a certain age say around 40 you'll have a very different scenario and mindset. Then am sure even if you feel you don't want marriage since tou earn well and are very independent strong woman... you'll still need someone close... but there wouldn't be anyone around - +1 y
I nowhere said i am lonely in india we life in big families it's our tradition we don't throw away our kids when they turn 18 so as i have lot of people in my family but only if you could read my comment properly 😅😅😅😅you are acting like a grumpy cat you need to chill in life i am not keeping you away from getting married 😝😝😝my comment is precisely for the ones who come from the same place as you don't know the scenario of my country of a married woman you need to understand there are lot of countries in this world with different culture so be open minded every culture is different and again INDIA is known for it's rich culture family bond love and respect world wide
- +1 y
Ok. But what i am saying is no matter how big family you have and are very independent... you do need someone at a point later in life when parents set on heavenly abode and siblings get busy with their own life and world
- +1 y
Haha whatever
Enjoy yourself then.
Maybe being financially independent and all alone at 45 you'll still be at peace... without any kind of sexual and romantic relationship - +1 y
That's what I don't really like about people who say they won't get married...
They don't want to get married and take responsibility , but they surely want and have sex / romantic relationship in life
Why don't such people choose no marriage and no sexual and romantic relationship at all... A celibate life forever.
Then that'll be actually a life without marriage - +1 y
They're surely scared to be lonely , sexually frustrated
24 or 25 that way you are out of college and have a year or two to get yourself together.
