There’s no ideal age. People are ready at different ages.

26 is a good age also if she's mentally and emotionally prepared for it. I know I wasn't at that age.

Around my age is when I would prefer for him to find a wife. I don't think a guy could ever stop trying to find a wife. Neither should women. There's always someone for someone at any age. It's just more ideal around my age I think.

+1 yBiological age would probably be 21 but mental age could be 35 so it’s dependent on the person. Financial age could be 21-45, a lot of people with good personalities can’t afford to care for themselves much less a child.

u +1 yLife is not that simple and there is not one age that is ideal for everyone.

u +1 yat least 18, but I think mid to late 20’s is ideal. Your brain has fully developed by then, and if you’re marrying to have kids, then by mid to late 20’s you’re somewhat financially stable and can start having kids whenever you both feel ready.

+1 yResearch generally points to around age 25 as being the sweet spot for marriage, but everyone is different. I definitely think it’s best to wait until your brain is fully developed though, which doesn’t happen until your early/mid twenties.

+1 yIt depends on the individual person. There isn't a right or wrong time for everyone. It's when you are physically and mentally ready to get married. Only one person can really say when they are ready to get married
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Marriage & Weddings topic. I didn't get married till I was 29 and that seemed perfect for me.

Don't give random people significant amounts of money just so they can print a marriage certificate for you and stamp something in your personal document.
10 ReplyIt depends on what you're looking for. My girlfriend and I will probably marry in a year or two, and she'll be close to 40 and I'll be close to 35. If we wanted kids, that would not work, but we don't, so it works.

Me personally do believe under 25 or even 21 is a more risk for divorce unless the people are very mature and ready to settle, i know for a fact i wouldn't of wanted to marry any younger.. my friend married at 18 and she got divorced 4 years later, if i met someone now at 24, 25 even 26 and they asked me to marry them and i fell deeply in love with them id say yes for sure because im ready for my forever person and mature than i used to be.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI think 25 is about right. Any younger and you're too immature. Any older and you're starting to get too set in your ways and there won't be enough opportunity to grow and develop together rather than individually.
20 ReplyOlder than the required age to vote and make serious medical decisions.

+1 yWell I got married at 16 and divorced less than a year later. I don’t plan to even consider being remarried till 30

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI'd say early 30s for a dude and mid 20s for a girl.

Or 30s for both I'd say rather 😁
Opinion Owner+1 y@asphaltrhymes Maybe. But given fertility for women, getting married in their 20s and having the first kid before 30 is probably closer to the ideal. Things get a lot dicier when you wait longer than that.

Oh yes after I'd written my comment I wanted to include a disclaimer that, indeed, supposedly, that into the 30s for women if I was a woman I'd find childbirth daunting too at 30+ versus the more sprightly springy 20s ahaha

But if the couples are wanting healthiest offspring, then I'd say, no advice and I'm not a medical, 20s than having offspring at 30s. Ah well. I for one don't want kids and am happy single and I'm almost 30. Hooray, me, geniunely. 😋🤪 Others can populate the earth while I sip lemonade and more into the future 🥳

And in return, in my singleness, I contribute to charities and pay taxes, like a good just as good as any member of society, just childless and unmarried, merrily 🎉
