Am I in a toxic friendship or is she jealous of me :( ? ?

Im 13 and people usually say, imply and show that i'm a pretty/attractive girl and i have a fair amount of admirers. She sometimes says things like I have a unique face, or your eyebrows are thin, or just randomly say "you're not attractive". but note she's not that pleasing to the eye at all.. I love my friend but I don't understand :(

You have to realize, you're at an age where girls are really competitive and the majority of girls would act the same way.

As I have said on here many times... put yourself in your friends shoes. Maybe if you weren't as attractive as you are, things might be a little more difficult in some respects.

Just be sensitive to that and cut her a break. If she is being mean to you, then you shouldn't stand for that, but maybe if she is a smart cookie, tell her she is and that your a little envious of her smarts (just an example), it may boost her spirits.

If you just take adoration from everyone and not give any back, that is called being an egotistical/a snob. So maybe tell her she is beautiful and/or smart and be a friend to her.

Jealous friends are usually toxic. Keep a close eye non everything she says and does.

You have a unique face is not an insult. You're eyebrows are thin could just be a fact? Is she saying " you're not attractive" in a playful way or is she serious when she says it?

I remember my friend would also say stupid stuff to me. I don't know if she was jealous. Hopefully your friend is just teasing you in a friendly way and not being serious.

she's definitely toxic because if she cared about ur feelings she would give negative comments for u in a more gentle way so like even if u really had thin eyebrows she would have said it in a better way
