Do you believe that every woman has experienced being chosen over another woman?

By that I mean, has every woman been the woman who was chosen over another woman as well as being the other woman who was not chosen?

I think its very likely a majority of women have experienced that; further, I think almost every woman who's expressed interest towards another BELEIVES she's experienced that.

She may have herself convinced that she wasn't good enough to meet his expectations, that she was misled by the other person, or any number of reasons to soothe her conscience or, conversely, to weaponize her own emotions against herself.

Either way, poor communication or outright lying will keep the cycle going until folks can learn how to be honest with each other and themselves.

In some sense I agree, but I mean not in a traditional sense. When a couple decides to be exclusive, they effectively choose their partner over every other man / woman.
Has every one experienced the emotional distress of being left behind because the person they wished to be with didn't choose them? No. But don't be unreasonable and argue, "what about Valory who wanted to be Bred Pitt but he didn't choose her?". Crushing over a celebrity is not the same as actively dating someone just to then be tossed aside for someone else, be they better or worse.
