Was I wrong for not giving my aunt the money?

My aunt had asked if she could borrow $200 because of an emergency and she would pay me back the next day. I had the full amount however that was accounted for bills. If I had touched, I wouldn’t be able to safe again and I would go on a spending toll.

I told her that I can give her the $70 that I had left over instead of the $200. Today I Zelled her $200 so she could cashapp it to the tax company that did my mom’s taxes. I used the money that was accounted for and she told me that “she doesn’t owe people money, that when she had asked me for the money and I had said no, she asked my aunt’s husband and he gave her the money”. She told me that the emergency was that she gone to a travels agency to a flight ticket presumable.

I am a full time college raised by a single mother with limited income. Last year, I had to pay for my dental implants and this year I have student loans. If I had the money, I would have given it to my aunt however I don’t have the money. Because of her reaction, I have decided to never lend money to any relatives again unless it is my mother.
