I know this is unpopular and controversial, but I see so many women who would be absolutely beautiful if they just worked out more and tried to present themselves better. Say what you want, but I can almost guarantee most of these women would land better jobs, be treated better, and just live a happier life if they put a little more effort into themselves and their image.

What Girls Said
Pretty privilege is real and I think anyone would be generally happier with life if they took care of themselves. So yes.
With that being said, would you say that you value your appearance and stay in shape, and put a lot of effort into presenting yourself as best as possible?
I don’t have a super high self esteem and I’m no supermodel. I don’t go to the gym but I intend to when I am nearer to one. I do like dressing nicely when given the chance and looking my best, though, unless I’m too exhausted or distracted to care.
Yeah i don’t think women have to try to be super models…. That’s not what I mean. I just think some women will try so many different things that they think will earn them more money or make them happier…. When I truly do think that staying in really good shape and putting more effort into image can do just that.
Gotcha
Yeah, I’m certain men have it better when they do the same, but I feel in a way that a woman’s looks and appearance are more heavily judged in general. So I would also question why this is, if for example, there’s a position for an office job and the woman who is fit and dresses nicely might be treated differently or perhaps sexualized more than a male under the same circumstances, rather than be analyzed and valued for their work performance or smarts? I may be wrong, just something to think about
I just think sex sells, and beautiful women are more sought after than beautiful men. Hard working men, intelligent men, and confident men are more desired than beautiful men
Fair enough. I think it comes down to confidence on a personal level, too. I definitely know people who are conventionally attractive but they don’t get much attention because they are shy or lack self-esteem, and they do not receive the opportunities a more confident, self-assured individual would. I honestly think that people who value themselves, not in an overt way, will naturally achieve success because they “envision” it?
I agree. Mind shooting me a DM?
