Yes, absolutely. If you're a big scary-looking dude, then absolutely a woman might act nervous and awkward.

Specifically... women who have been through a rape or a sexual assault are often going to be inclined to react that way.

So, try not to take it personally (it's really not). But, do whatever you can to try and keep your physical distance as much as possible, and just... kinda be sensitive to making her uncomfortable.

It's almost certainly a trauma-response. It's got nothing whatever to do with you, personally. It's literally your size and if you look scary... then it's that too.
