A crush I had at my job just recently became a manager, will she look down on me now?

couple of weeks ago a few new employees were hired at my job and one of them was a girl who was pretty naughty. whenever we were a break or when there was nothing to do at the time of almost leaving for the day she would flirt with me a lot and tried to star conversations with me every chance she got.

oh well surprisingly this week she got promoted to be a manager. so I was wondering is she gonna lose interest in me now that she has higher authority? is she gonna look down on me now?

I think there is a 3rd option here, I think she will have to be careful not to show interest as it could be construed as favoritism by other employees.

I am sure management will tell her about these situations regarding fairness in the workplace. So even though she may very will like you, she may have to let the relationship fizzle. Don't look at it as her looking down on you, as she was most recently doing the same work as you are, it is just what being a manager necessitates.

Who knows, she may choose not to let it change the situation, however, that could impact her new managerial position if the owner (s) or other managers see something between the two of you.

more likely her position of authority will prevent her from persuing you for legal and ethical reasons. such as to keep her from being fired, sued, and/or arrested (some jurisdictions have laws about "sexual harrassment" [person in authority dating someone seen as lower authority within the company falls under sexual harrassment] to the point of beong arrestable) .

Authority always changes women. Sometimes it makes them cooler, but most of the time they become overbearing bitches
