What jobs do girls tend to avoid dating guys they meet the most?

i feel that girls who work as servers in pubs and bars tend to avoid dating the guys they meet there like the plague. perhaps this isn't always true but had it happen to me many times , even if we got along great and seemed to have a connection they wouldn't even consider dating me if i meet them at there work and was seen as a regular.

other jobs its perhaps less clear , i don't think a female cashier would avoid dating a guy she liked if she meet him at work and only seen him there once or twice.

i also find girls who work at gyms tend to avoid dating guys there too. i had one get really rude with me a couple years ago cause i had tried to add her on social media and wasn't aware she was seeing someone.

but something about the guys who go to bars/pubs regularly , the girls seem to avoid them like the plague even if they like talking to them when there working. but perhaps depends on the restaurant some might be better or worse than others.

They're only avoiding the guys at those jobs they don't like. But I can tell you for a fact from personal experience girls in those jobs are still hooking up with and even dating some of the guys who frequent those places. They're just avoiding the guys they don't like, but pretending that they avoid all guys in those places.

I go to the bar with my buddies from time to time and some of the girls who work there will come up to our table and chat and laugh with us, which I'm partly sure is because they know us as regulars.

In retail - and I grew up working more than one retail job - girl cashiers, clerks, etc. are having sex with their male co-workers like mad, and some have hooked up with guys who were customers and got their numbers. Some of these dudes even offer the girl money for sex, and she takes it. It's not uncommon at all.

So the key is that they're not necessarily avoiding guys in general, just the ones they're not into. They'll lie and say they're not looking for anyone or don't date customers, yada yada, that's not true. It's just to get you to go away and stop trying.

most of the guys who go to my pub are much older than the girls who work there so makes sense they wouldn't consider dating any of them in real life. but if a younger guy they liked showed up would be ok with dating him

i find retail they are often more ok with it , had girls flirt with me or seem interested who were cashiers but i didn't really know them well and some worked at dollar stores so seemed kind of low end compared to what i'm used to

It’s stereotypically true that men who want a one night stand hang out in clubs, bars, and dirty restaurants. Women who work there are nice to you because it’s literally their job and a part of their job is to earn awesome tips.
If you want a quality woman who appreciates you and sees you more than a guy who just wants a one night stand meet them in an honest event.

yeah but whats an honest event? i hear weddings are a place to meet them but i never get invited to them , i haven't even been to one in years
i'd like to see these girls in other settings but like never see them anywhere despite the fact we live in the same area and its not even that big a city more like a large town

Not weddings. Those people have family ties with whomever’s wedding you are there for.
Any event where you are there purely for the enjoyment of the event. Meeting other people is just a bonus. Painting with a Twist, MeetUp, any festival, a concert, etc.

Those events you can go and enjoy being there, being yourself, and having fun. When you learn how to do that women will love talking to you.

the girls from the pub went to a country concert at the end of last summer but they didn't invite me or want me there that night , they didn't even tell me they were going , i only found out the Friday night it occured when i realised they weren't at work and everyone had taken off to it

how i'm i suppose to see them in another setting if they don't suggest anything or invite me , its like i've already been DQ cause of the pub and it doesn't matter what i do anywhere else

one of the few things i can think of would be bowling , is a bowling alley nearby that is popular but i've never really been there other than 1 time i got take out as they had a special hot dog i liked. its kind of a different atmosphere than the pub and bowling obviously less intense setting. but i've never been and not really sure who goes there or on what night. pretty sure people from pub have been there but not sure the night as they couldn't go fri/sat

true people go to different things for different reasons , just cause the event is legit does not mean the people there are.
the girls i know won't agree to do stuff with me outside of the place i know them so not sure what events they would go to and even if i saw them there what would happen

ok but this pub is like a hometown pub so obviously the girls there are dating guys from this town/area , be pretty unrealistic to day they couldn't date someone who goes to the pub when its like a small town hang out place. and some of them led me on by asking me to do shots with them at the bar , what would i be assuming when a girl makes such a request?

they've never once ever told me there were any rules about dating a customer/someone they knew from pub and obviously is different categories of customers > local/regulars , random/tourists , staff from other bars/restaurants. i'm sure there is rules and things employees are told behind closed doors i don't know about but doubt there forbidden from dating someone they knew who went to the pub a few times being this is a small town and dating options already so limited

@Honeysuckle12345 Lol I've been a bartender for over 18 years and it's never been FORBIDDEN to date coworkers or customers. A few places have cautioned against it or ask that you be discreet about it while in the establishment. This job gets you a lot of attention from guys by default as well as so many guys who misinterpret me doing my job ( being nice, having conversations, smiling) as flirting, interest in them, or that they have a shot with me. Combined with alcohol, creates stalkers, guys that have been rejected are jealous of any other male customers I'm nice to, and finding out that you're dating someone else especially another customer creates drama. But I don't see how dating a customer is jeopardizing your job at all since any action of theirs should not and does not reflect badly on you. You can't control others and usually they get kicked out and banned I don't know any bar job that would fire you for spending time with someone then hold you responsible for their actions/reactions. That's like firing an employee because a guy is stalking them at work.

@ZanPiece i've never heard any of the girls who work at the pub here say there forbidden to date a customer and in a small town it make no sense to have such a rule as you'd pretty much be saying that the server couldn't date anyone in town unless it was someone who didn't go there and if they were single pretty much limit there options to next to nothing.
but agree a lot of guys misinterpret things due to the way girls who work such jobs act around them. if these girls didn't want to date me so badly i wouldn't be offended if they told me so in a polite and respectful manner , at least then i'd know and could move on with my life and find someone else. the fake lets act nice around him but not tell him the truth is kind of getting old by now , rather just know the truth and find someone real

The explanation for this is so simple you may slap your forehead. I have been a server (waitress) and also a hostess so I have lived the other side of this!

Lots of guys (customers) flirt with you when you are in that type of job and if you want everybody to be happy, not complain about you, leave a good tip etc you flirt back a little. You are happy to see them if they are regulars, you smile laugh joke with them you remember their orders if they are consistent bc people appreciate those things and reward them.

You may meet some guys you really like and, it is possible to date them but, you act like you like a lot more guys than you are really interested in dating bc it is often part of the job and it can make the difference between going home with $40 and going home with $60 in your pocket (exact numbers can vary a lot that is just to give the general idea). JMO!

i understand the nature of this industry and been in a lot of restaurants over the years and true the servers who are nicer and actually talk to the customers tend to be more successful in this job. if you ignored people obviously they would not tip much if anything.

As a shy/introverted female, I tend to avoid the guys I find attractive at work because I know they will just reject me since I'm not pretty. I normally ignore them, pretend they don't exist. I know it's hurtful, but it's not easy to talk to attractive guys. If I wasn't so shy, I'd talk to them and ask them out, because it doesn't matter what job they have because at least they are working.

it can really depend though but from what i've seen they do seem to meet them somewhere else. at the pub none of the girls there seem to have meet there boyfriend there. all seem to have meet them originally somewhere else or through something else despite the fact there always at the pub and meet a lot of people.

You are onto something there. I was thinking about it myself for a long time how and where to find and get the girls. And yet I have not found an answer I can find useful.
They are usually in Dance clubs, ballet and yoga. None of those things are of interest to me so I don't go there.
On the beach they all come with boyfriends or husbands. These girls are too lazy to go out for themselves and if it were not for the boys, they'd still sit at home and mindlessly browse instagram. How do I know? I asked them to the beach and did not respond.

i've never seen any of the girls i know at the pub at the beach , and there is a lot of lakes and swim spots here. a couple seemed to have there own secret spots they went , one her family had a small cottage on a lake somewhere? not sure where as she'd never say , another had a secret spot off the highway on a lake where people went but not a spot i've ever been too

the one girl also talked to me about the local gym and how she had a membership at a gym near her college but hated the local gym with a pashion cause she knew everyone there and couldn't stand working out with people she knew so she isn't a member but her boyfriend is , i saw her there once during x mas break and she seemed ok but didn't talk to me

i can see why some guys use drugs as there " in " , a lot of girls smoke pot so they seem to use that as a way to get closer to them either by selling it to them or by smoking it with them. some of the girls at that pub smoked pot even though they didn't really look like the type but i'm not at all into that so that one is out too

or perhaps if i showed up with another girl that would raddle one enough to actually agree to do something with me outside the pub , if they though i had found someone else. i think it would show to them i was done with there crap and fakeness of spending $10 a beer just to talk to them with no hope of ever getting what i wanted
