Why do old photos look better in our eyes?

2-3 months ago, when I was recovering from break up, I and my friend went clubbing every week, they even did the advertising videos using our pictures and dances.

The photographer took us lots of videos and pics, it felt like he was our private photographer. Recently I and my friend have more tensed relationship, we also grew out of clubbing.

The photographer posted our pics today, saying it reminds him of some nice memories. When we were going there, we had the greatest time of all and everybody wanted to know us.

But we outgrew cause It’s not really a place for me. Maybe once in a while is okay, but I don’t want to frequent clubs anymore.

So, in these pictures I look so happy, so excited and kind of beautiful, I have seen the same pictures before and I didn’t post because I didn’t think they were good. Fast forward 2 months though I like these pics more and remember those days fondly.

Yea I still got one of when I was like 16 but tbh I kept it cause I was extremely dark in it, i can use it to show how dark my skin can get with enough sun, but yep over all I guess you see it in a different light perhaps

The good memories make the photos look better. Be sure to keep the photos for when you are older. They will continue to bring you pleasure.

@msc545 Yep, those are good memories. I don’t remember if you remember my old questions I felt like I was the less attractive friend of my TikTok celebrity friend. (The one who lives with me)

Looking back at those pictures I really feel like that wasn’t much of a truth, cause I looked good in my own way. I didn’t realize it at that time. I do realize it now that I looked at those pics and feel happy for that realization. They even made video clips starring us and they had my pic as the cover of their channel. I guess after all, I mustn’t have bad. So, these days when I mostly spend my days by reading, it gives me joy to think that no even 3 months ago my life was this crazy and my self-esteem issues don’t seem so real from this perspective than they were at that time.
