You're not taught anything, you just learn yourself as SaoirseS says. My Dad didn't say, "Angelique you need to learn to cook for a husband one day so you're gonnastay in the kitchen to learn", I just had the interest myself to cook and watch my Dad in the kitchen. My Mom never cooked, something my sister got her uninterest from to learn.

It's just common sense how a wife should be, same applies to husbands.

It's only common sense when it works, If what it takes to be a husband is to be stern and have leadership qualities, then most men will fill in that regard, if what it takes to be a wife is to have the ability to nurture then a lot of women will also fail. So to me it's not common sense when most of the people don't have what it takes to make a marriage work.
