I have noticed that on dating apps, I will often get matches from women, and messages (especially on bumble where women have to text first), and then an immediate drop in contact. I just don't understand why. You are on a dating app, so you presumably are single and want to meet someone, you liked my profile so you find me attractive, you sent me a text so you want to have a conversation. Then decide to just drop all communication. This happens more often than not with online dating matches. Why waste everyone's time if you have no intention or interest of even writing a text message, much less going on a date?

Sometimes, people find a good candidate and they aren't interested in staying on the dating carousel. But some sites won't let you delete your profile; they want the site to look like it has six cajillion users. When I've been in that position, I put a comment in my profile stating that I'm no longer active, but it's surprising how many users really don't read the profiles!

You realize most women go on those dating sites just for shits and giggles. Very few have any intention of dating anyone.
